Nagato destroys hashirama. All hashi's wood release is absorbed by preta. Hashi's bringer of darkness is seen through by the rinnegan. Hashirama's taijutsu is crap against asura arms.
And all the while nagato is spamming shinra tenseis every 5 seconds, while giant summons wreak havock on hashi.
And that is crippled nagato.

It absorbs anything that is made of chakra. It has absorbed jiraiya's oil bath, and has absorbed gaara's sand. It even absorbs naruto's transformation ninjutsu. It absorbs all ninjutsu, and hashirama's wood release is a ninjutsu.

Is Nagato stronger than Madara? NO!
Is Madara stronger than Hashirama? I don't think so. They could be on the same level.
No one knows the true power of Hashirama Senju!
We know he built Konoha without help from the scratch.
He controlled tailed beasts and gave them to villages which he had alliance with.
Although he has the rinnegan and brought down all Hashirama built with his six paths and he's a great ninja even when crippled and alright, I don't think edo Hashirama(if he is resurrected) would be taken down edo Nagato.
Ps: Hashi won't 4give Nag 4 destroying the village.xd

Yes nagato is stronger than the madara that fought Hashirama, a lot stronger.

When hashirama beat madara he didn't have a rinnegan hashirama has never faced anything as strong as the rinnegan, because most likely if madara had fought hashirama, had the rinnegan and knew how to use it to the extent that nagato does its likely that he would have won.

I can't really say for now, we don't anything about Hashi though. He might even have his own rinnegan when resurrected.
