ok gai start to open the gate
itachi start susano'o
gai still in 4 gate
itachi already in susano'o final form with yata mirror equip
gai finally reach 8 gate and he's body start to crumble and his skin torn off
gai attack the susano'o and push the susano'o back
and then gai use his ultimate attack and attack susano'o head on
but itachi use the yata mirror
gai attack deflected and fail
then he died due to opening the gate
its just that simple, saying gai use 8 gate is suicide itself

You forget that susano can't keep up with guy's speed, thus not being able to strike him.
Also, as danzo made clear, you can indeed overwhelm susano with force and make it off balance, thus creating an opening. And with guy's ultimate thingy he did against kisame, that force might push him over creating an opening.
Dunno, hard choice.

idk why ppl saying speed can overcome susano'o LOL, this is not gaara defense susano'o automaticly cover the entire user and in final form itachi susano'o have the yata mirror which can repel ANY attack

why would you place guy in a match-up against one of the high tier characters in the manga with the 8th gate and we havn't seen any feats from the 8th gate yet?

Danzo created a vacuum with a huge wind jutsu and a summon, he also used it on an incomplete form of Susanoo.
It is much harder to even scratch Susanoo then you believe. It took the power of two kages to hurt Madara's incomplete Susanoo.

there is something that we know from 8 gates (the gates of hell) once u use it ur body start crumble and ur skin torn off from the intensity from that jutsu since that jutsu greatly increased the user speed and attack/raw power beyond kage level for a moment, and it will lead to the user death,
so claiming the ppl who debate in this thread retarded is incorrect and u have no right to call ppl retarded

Lol this proves everything and oh btw 8 gates IS not faster than the lightning speed It's super fast yeah but sasuke's kirin was beyond super fast (not the same words but it was stated by zetsu). anyway it's a change from pain vs minato and pain vs itachi threads so +rep

i believe itachi will win this match easily but if itachi plays around gai and drag himself in long battle then i think gai might have chances against him.gai practised taijutusu and he can keep up fighting long battles but itachi cant fight long battle beacuse of his sickness and low stamina. susanoo and amatersu has negative effects. so itachi will use it wisely beacuse if he misses with susanoo then itachi will have to suffer tiredness and eye strains which is bad.
gai not watching itachi's eye will be bonus for itachi bcoz gai wont see any handseals and kunai's coming but gai is gai. anythng is possible and 8th gate seems to be very powerful techniques and we never know what punch it packs.
