Oh boy. This will be fun. Non-element training.

Ninja - A person with skills in a certain area that is trained to fight for their village
Chakra - the combination of spirit and strength energy
Ninjutsu - The useage of techniques that require you to use chakra
Taijutsu - Fighting with your body without the use of chakra
Genjutsu - Using your chakra to interrupt the users brain patterns, giving them the illusion of something that isn't really happening
Elements - A variety of different things, the main being earth, air, water, fire, lightning
Elemental Ninjutsu - Ninjutsu that molds chakra of the elements to use it in battle

Ninja: Main military power used in the Naruto series. They are anyone who battle others in order to protect their morals, values and beliefs. Most utilize chakra in some way, purely resort to hand to hand combat, or use illusionary methods.

Chakra: It is the molding of the spiritual and physical power that emanate from the body. It is contained in the Chakra Circulatory System, and is manipulated by the user to achieve any intended effect.

Ninjutsu: Basically any technique that utilizes chakra in some way. Ninjutsu relies heavily on chakra, and occasional hand seals. The shinobi must first manipulate chakra, the main two are shape and nature transformation. Shape deals with mostly controlling the form and movement, similar to a Rasengan. Nature transformation refers to changing the properties of chakra, such as when Naruto utilizes futon chakra into a basic Rasengan.

Taijutsu: Is direct or hand-to-hand combat, where the user utilizes their physical strength, speed, reflexes, and predication abilities in order to win a fight. Typically, this does not require chakra. Some ninja like the Beast Rock Lee and Maito Gai, rely solely on taijutsu, and have become masters at it. An advanced technique of opening the Eight Inner Gates will grant the user immense power.

Genjutsu:
Is the illusionary method of battling, creating false images and apparitions in order to confuse, delay, or paralyze the opponent. Although they are false images, they have a real effect on the body. This is done by manipulating and inserting your chakra into the opponent's brain, conflicting their five senses. It is very difficult to control, and even harder to excel at.

Elements: The basic five, earth, water, fire, wind, and lightning are the basic nature types every shinobi has the ability to use. Most of the time, one or two elements show themselves to be immediately apparent in the shinobis DNA. They can be individually injected into pure ninjutsu techniques, to create elemental ninjutsu. There are also many elements related to KG, KT. Ex: Dust, Ice, Blaze, Explosion, Lava, Wood, Steam.

Elemental Ninjutsu: This is referring to the act of inserting/adding elements into a ninjutsu attack. Each element has a certain way of acting, and so depending on the action you want to carry out, you may choose fire over water, and so forth. However, when you identify a ninjutsu technique with an element, it also gains an automatic disadvantage to its opposite element. Ex: Fire is weak to water, water is weak to earth.

All my own, did not copy or paste. However, I did look up things just to be sure.

Hum...you need to put a bit more effort. Look at Selendriles post below.

Very good job Selendrile! ^^

Now, since we are focusing on Genjutsu, Dragonfly, read Selendriles post. If you have any question, ask me. We will continue on towards Genjutsu.

Now, Genjutsu or illusionary arts, are techniques in which you can (or not) use your chakra through hand seals (or not) to influence your opponents chakra flow in order to make him experience illusions. These can vary in effect but all illusions are based around the basic 5 senses: taste, vision, hearing, touch and smell. The most powerful genjtusu generally affect more than one sense at a time. The damage a Genjutsu does comes from the strain the illusion does on the opponents body and not from any actual physical damage. For example., you can make your opponent feel pain as if his leg was cut of but his leg will still be there unaffected.

With me so far?

Right! Now i want you both to use your chakra and try to make me see a wall in front to me. Clap your hands in the focus position and focus your chakra to affect my chakra flow, altering the way i perceive the world with my eyes. (it sounds tricky but its actually how genjutsu works...pretty neat uh? ^^)

I meditate for a few seconds to mentally prepare myself. Then I slam my hands together and start channeling my chakra. I attempt to reach my chakra out and into your mind so that it messes with you chakra. Eventually, I make it so that your brain is filled partially with my chakra. And I slowly make a wall start to form. At first, it is a tall lump, then I make it into a rectangular shape. And finally, I add details, making it an old and graffiti marked brick wall that is right in front of your face. After I am finished, I unclasp my hands.

After relaxing my body, and clearing my mind, I clasp my hands together, and begin to channel my chakra inside of your body. I keep concentrating until I believe I have disrupted enough of your chakra flow. After this is done, using the chakra inside of your body, I visualize and then materialize a large stone wall in front of your eyes. It begins to form from the bottom up, growing larger every second. The details are prefect.

*I see only a little pebble form on the ground* o_O

Try one more time! More chakra and less bla bla bla...also, if you give me a nosebleed i'll whip you both. More control and more chakra. ^^

Lol. Less blah blah blah coming up xd

I clap my hands together and focus my chakra in your brain. I disrupt your chakra and suddenly after visualizing it, I create a brick wall in your head. I keep adding chakra, and the brick wall seems real. And then I release the genjutsu.

I clasp my hands together, and begin to channel my chakra inside of your body. I do this slowly and carefully, to ensure you are not aware of my presence. I use no more chakra than necessary. Then, latching onto you in a quick motion with my chakra, I begin to alter your senses. Your sense of smell, begins to detect a dusty stone. Your sight, sees a large, gray wall materialize before you. Your hearing, begins to detect a rasping stone sound, as the wall is made. After successfully implanting my chakra and taking over your senses, a complete wall stands before you.

Totally different from elemental training. We have to be much more creative, will not providing fluffy junk.

Yup!!! Its different from normal training and i do it in a different way also. I'm that special....lolol

You both have just learned your first genjutsu:

(Genjutsu: Kokohin) - Illusion Technique: False surrounding
Rank: D
Type:Supplementary
Range:Short
Chakra Cost:10(+5 if you use it double)
Damage Points:N/A
Description: The user controls creates a false surrounding which can change the way an object or small area looks(if used double then its a layer of false surroundings not easy noticed by the enemy).

Tell me, how can this be useful and what, by looking at it, do you think its its limitations and perhaps the limitations of all Genjutsu?

You can alter small pieces of landscape to your will, which can disrupt an opponent specific move. Creating a tree where there wouldnt be, so you can hide behind it, and launch techniques from there. Covering up a large hole, where the opponent would then try to run over, and fall in.

Limitations- size of area altered, it seems like this can only do rather small objects, not like altering the entire battlefield, but a specific object, range, eye contact

Im guessing here, but I would say most genjutsu requires eye contact from the opponent.

Well. I would use this in combination with a technique. Say I use Earth Spikes, I genjutsu them while jumping to make them think, Oh, no spikes there xd
The limitation is probably eye contact, especially if the opponent expects genjutsu from you (Dojutsu Users) they will say "Focus on your chin instead of eyes". Which is where I am puzzled as to how to get around that.
