As a fan of Minato, you should know that in the Naruto series speed is a HUGE thing. Its what made the 4th so strong, and its what makes A so strong. The raikage said 'i'm the fastest alive, now that the 4th Hokage is dead.' That means obviously that he's faster than Gaara, so his attacks outpacing his sand is very likely. Maybe on one occasion the sand kept up, but at full speed the Raikage wins. Period.

And Mei's acid mist, how do you block that with sand? Gaara still has to breathe, and he can't breathe acid.

Also, the tsuchikage is a long range fighter, he can fly out of the sand's reach just like Deidara,instead of C1 and C2 he'll use dust element techs .

He clearly blocked the Raikage and amatarasu so how is it possible that his speed cud easily be faster than Gaara's sand? I need proof on how u think A is too fast for Gaara, A is a short distance fighter. Minato doesn't only use speed, he uses instant teleportation. Raikage said he is now the fastest ALIVE. Light is still much faster than him, its an object. Gaara is not as fast as A at all but his sand is from what we have seen very fast especially on defense.

Gaara's sand may be fast. But it is in no way near near the speed of amaterasu. Sasuke used amaterasu to block himself from gaara's sand, but that doesn't prove in anyway that the sand is faster.
Gaara has never shown the ability of blocking amaterasu, Raikage's kick is excluded.

He literally used amaterasu on the sand...Not gaara.....

And we don't knw how long gaara kankuru and temari were standing there watching the fight, and how long he could have sent his sand there....

But look at the raikages kick

In a physics point of view he couldn't have been using his max speed....The kick was a guillitine drop kick...He jumped, then used gravity to deliver the blow .....Gravity was pulling him downwards not his speed....

No matter how fast you are, Minato, Raikage , Itachi , Once Mid air, you are suspended there and the only speed you have is the force of gravity and the velocity at which you're falling ....So that kick has nothing to do with v2 raikage speed...

Not to mention Madara and mizukage were avoiding gaaras sand.... And the ONLY time gaara caught madara was when oonoki used his technique to make his sand lighter... So unless Madara speed > v2 raikage and amaterasu , No gaaras sand isn't at that level of speed




Gaaras sand offence is all his doing, All the former kazekages could also control sand , Iron/gold W.E

Gaaras automatic sand defense is his mothers jutsu , shukaku had nothing to do with it

My list of stongest kages
1.oonoki
2.Gaara
3.Raikage
4.Tsunade
5. Mei

Gaara can use his sand as an ultimate defense, theres only one other defense that can be considered stronger and thats susanoo. He use No chakra on defense, the sand is his mother protecting him, and little chakra for offense.

People like to limit Gaara by putting him in unrealistic areas to fight. When will Gaara ever be in the Hidden Rain Village, or back at the chuunin exams? Most Fights are in an open area.

He is Called Gaara of the Dessert because he can turn almost any terrain to dessert, and people don't like that so they put him in places he would never be.

Alright now to show how he's stronger then the Kage except for Oonoki

Everyone Overrates what Mei can do, yes she has two KGs, but that doesn't make someone strong if thats all she can do, no summonings, no taijutsu, no genjutsu, and one of the KG's doesn't work unless her opponent is in a sealed of area. In reality she's the weakest kage, but thats just me. Gaara easily defeats her

Tsunade
She has her medic skills and super strength and Katsuya but none of those are fast enough to hit Gaara. Gaara wins everytime.

A the Raikage
I'm going to say this, and everyone is going to freak out. Gaara sand is on par or maybe faster then the Raikage in V2. Yup i said it

These not only proof that Gaaras sand is faster then amaterasu but also is on par with Raikages V2 speed.

Think about Raikage was up in there kicking to his death( surely by amaterasu) so he can his speed, plus Gravity pulling him dowm even faster. And Gaara sand got there before Raikage almost killed him self.

Faster sand means Raikage can't hit him, and raikage has shown no feats in genjutsu or ninjutsu just taijutsu so he' like lee and guy with 5 gates open. Add that to the fact that Gaara can make the whole terrain a desert, he wins with a giant sandburial.

Gaara is stronger then every kage except for oonoki, call me a fanboy if you will, but what i said here are all facts, its just up to you to say if he's stronger or not
