thee Yata Mirror was carried by Itachi's Susanoo in its left hand. It is considered one of the three sacred treasures and is endowed with all nature transformations, it can change its own characteristics depending on the characteristics of the attack it receives, making the technique ineffective. Zetsu claimed that this, combined with the Sword of Totsuka held in its right hand, essentially made Susanoo invincible.

Itachi landed 2 Technical killing blows on Nagato before he got the chance to use CT.

There is no proof that Itachi could or couldn't destroy CT on his own. The way the manga portrays it, we see a calm and cool headed Itachi teaching Naruto a lesson about Shinobi skills and that every Ninjutsu has a weakness, he proceeds to tell Naruto and Bee what to do so they can learn from the Legendary Uchiha Itachi, the only Shinobi who broke out of Edo control, not even Madara can do that

there's no proof that he can do it alone but its obviously implied that he needed their help since most people wait to explain their logic after they've executed their plans. It doesn't matter as Nagato wont need CT for Itachi he only needs to pull him out of susanoo and obliterate him with numerous missiles.

Also, If Nagato gets hit by Tsukuyomi it is game over, because 1 sec of Itachi's Tsukuyomi can become 20+ days, Itachi can manipulate the time of his Genjutsu and obliterate Nagato.

People who claim Nagato won't lose to Itachi are the biggest fanboys in denial Itachi already beated Ultimate Nagato.

its not the rocks, its the force pulling them and also when Madara attacked the army with a meteor, it crushed his Susanoo as well so don't understimate the power of rocks

he sealed Nagato after escaping Chibaku Tensei, he cant do that alone. Nagato wont fall to genjutsu if he keeps his distance which he can do on top of a summon, Tsukuyomi according to databook is short range. Nagato can repel Totsuka and absorb Amaterasu. Itachi cant escape Chibaku Tensei.

He landed 2 Technical Killing Strikes on Nagato before Nagato got the chance to use CT, but Edo jutsu regenerated Nagato LOL, so Nagato actually got defeated 3 times by Itachi when it comes to Tecnhical defeats LOL.

for genjutsu he can keep his distance, for Totsuka he can repel with shinra tensei and for Susanoo in general he can drag Itachi out.

Shinra Tensei has a minimum of 5 sec interval before it can be used again, Totsuka Sword has no such thing, double stab = Game over.
