My External Hard Drive Is Damages,My 1 Year Old Nephew Step On Top Of It,He Even Jumping In Joy And Smiling,

The Hard Drive Size Is 1Tb And Almost Full Only 140Gb Of Space Left.
To Make Things Worst, When This Happen, I Just Reformat My Notebook,
So i Backup All Data To The Drive. Now The HDD Jammed, When I Connect The USB I Hear The Disk In Side Spinning Then Stop Follow By Scratching Sound Like.... Or More Like Knocking Sound I Don't Know. And The Dead Silence.
So Tomorrow I'm Sending The Drive To Data Recovery Center, In Hope That I Can Get All The Important Data Like My Work My Books And My Software, And It Take 5 Workings Days,And $2500,

Is There Another Way I Can Do To Fix The Hard Drive?,Easier Way.And Faster.
Help Please.

Put the drive in a ziplock bag and then in the freezer for a few hours. Take it out and put it on a flat surface. Spin it. Try it.
