Rinnegan, NO. Why? As you can see in both the Anime Pic & the Manga Pic, its clearly not a Rinnegan.

While similar to the Rinnegan, the ancestor's eyes did not have the same ripple-like pattern of concentric circles. Instead, his dōjutsu had a more spiral-like pattern.

It couldn't be a drawing mistake. That thing is an exact spiral, not anything close to a rinnegan ripple pattern.

Yeah thats another reason why elder son has something to do with Uzumaki.

The uzumaki are still there as much as the uchiha are. As far as we know, Naruto is the last Uzumaki and Sasuke is the last Uchiha(we don't know for sure if Tobi is uchiha).

Well yeah, but officially she is Senju and the last one we know of at that.

The bloodline of the sage is pretty much dead now...
Sasuke is the last uchiha, Naruto is the last uzumaki(which is related to senju), and Tsunade is the last senju.

Ive already noticed.
Kishi needs to clarify whether thats actually his doujutsu design or whether he was meant to have the rennigan design because if he truely got the sage's eyes, he shouldve the rennigan and not a mutation of it

I agree with you, but Kishi can always get off on the technicallity that history degrades over time and the stories are altered. But I agree with the thread maker it looks nothing like the rinnegan.

better late than never. I never really paid it any attention as being link to the Uzumaki symbol. That is interesting.

Not to stray to far from that point but I posted a thread a month ago about Naruto possibly having a merged Kyuubi/Sage/Rinnegan mode and I even posted a pic link for what it looks like. Now when Naruto confronted Nagato we caught a glimpse of the possibility. I know that a lot of people don't want to agree with me or even humor the idea that Naruto could possess Rinnegan, but isn't Nagato an Uzamaki or am I delusional? It says so on this link
