The only games I bought this year were Gears of War 3, Saints Row The Third, Batman Arkham Asylum, Dead Island and MW3. Well, I also bought Bayonetta but that one is a bit older, so yeah.
Edit: I forgot I bought BF3 as well, well - It had a good campaign Multiplayer was meh. That's why I sold it again after three days.
Arkham Asylum will take my number one spot.
Why? Simply because I love Batman. I've loved Arkham Asylum so much, it was just such an awesome experience and after the Steelbook Edition of Arkham City arrived here - I was just so excited to play it. I completed it after the first day and completed every Sidequests (Except the Riddler ones) on the third day. This will be my GOTY next to Saints Row.

I haven't played the first two that much but after I've seen some trailers of it - I just had to get it. I pre-order all of my games, that one as well. When I first played, I was smiling all the time, it was so amazing. I loved the City, I loved the Characters and just all that messed up stuff in there. I mean, you can't play as a toilet in every game, can you? And I usually never go for Achievements but I had to do that in Saints Row. I already have 42 Achievements (50 in total). I totally aced that game, I almost have more ingame time compared to MW3. I got it on the 17th I think, or the 18th - Not sure anymore. And I haven't played it for two days now, I mean

, I've completed everything - Although I don't know why it says that I only have 94% Hoodcontrol because I have every city part on 100%, damn - That was a lot of work. I don't think I should say anymore regarding this game except that it freakin' rocks!
Gears of War takes my 3.
Usually I would've put it on one but I wasn't really impressed by it. I started Xbox with Gears of War and I was disappointed of Gears 2 because it was total shit. That's why me and my mates all sticked with Gears of War 1 until three came out. I don't have anything to say against the Campaign, I loved it! Gears Campaigns have always been amazing. But the Multiplayer, I don't know why I am not playing it that often. The Multiplayer is way better than Gears 2's, hell, maybe even Gears 1's but somehow it isn't that appealing. . . I have no Idea why.
Number four takes Dead Island.
I was looking forward to this game so much and it has been so much fun. I completed it the first time in like, 15 hours without doing most of the side-quests. My second run was with a friend, we completed it within ten hours and did all the side-quests. It was really fun but it gets kinda boring after that - But it's still a damn nice game despite the flaws it has.
And finally, my number five, Modern Warfare 3.
Well, Ive always been a CODtard. But what can I say, CoD is just so fun if you play with friends, also the Campaign was amazing, all of the MW Campaigns were. I get COD every year despite how shit it turns out to be. Black Ops was really shit since the beginning but I got it anyways - because it's fun with friends. But Modern Warfare 3 wasn't a letdown, they fixed a lot of thing and I really like it. But Im just not playing it that often, but when I play it's fun. The reason MW3 got 5 is because it is Call of Duty, nothing special, just a annual FPS with a big name. MW3 is a great game, it's really fun but it's just another Call of Duty. Heh, that kinda sounds wrong coming from someone who always pre-orders COD's just to get them 3 days early
