This is an issue that I think we've all been asking about in the back of our heads for about... well, as far back as I can remember on NB, so about 5 months.

Now, I've repeatedly asked several people informally about Rules for Becoming A Sensei, and they've all said they're "working on it".

Now, that was several months ago, so I think we definitely need rules for this aspect of RP asap.

What I suggest for Sensei Rules is as follows:

In order to become a sensei, one must...

1. Have a good online time.

2. Have at least 5,000 posts.

3. Have gone through training themselves with at least one certified sensei.

4. Show general compitence in jutsu-related things, in order to be able to teach accurately.

5. Show a chosen board of 4 top-notch senseis "what they're made of" through a pass/fail battle with one of them, not necessarily one that must be won.

6. Be able to speak in complete, understandable sentences.

That's just my suggestion.

Maybe should add sth like To be users for more then 3 or 4 months or more ;)
cuz some users would just make 5000 posts for a month and they are already senseis

isnt 5000 a little to much
Maybe 3500

No, it's not. 3500 is much too little. 5,000 is just right, we don't want unexperienced people teaching others. 3,500 is a very small number of posts in the big scheme of things. Maybe 4,500.

have it so you have to be like 2 ranks above the person your training, like in the anime/manga chunin can train acadamy students, but they can't train genin, then you have jounin who train genin, that is what i think, you shouldn't have to wait till you become a kage inorder to train, that wouldn't really be in cooperation with the manga anyways, aswell as being a bit much. I think the rules are currently 3000, it should stay at that, or even reduced, as there are some members who have been on for like 5 months and only barely have over 2000 posts.

There are no rules currently for Sensei rules.

The post count shouldn't be below 4500. The ranks don't matter, they're not proportionate to the number of posts one has; I.E., there's no relation between battle ranks and post count except for the title.

In the manga/anime, a chuunin can't normally beat a jonin, but on NB it's quite possible.

i think that instead of 5,000 posts it should be 1,500 and be a member for three full months. For example I you joined in may it would have to be september b4 you can start taking students. That includes june, july, and august as the three full months.

uh i think the recomendation thingie is stupid.

cause then it becomes a popularity contest, not having to do with being sensei.
