What is "Rep" i'm kinda new and i know it has something to do with those green bars so can anyone help me out ( this isn't a wrong section is it !? )

EDIT2: No seriously, that green bar is called your reputation bar. Everytime you are repped or thanked your rep bar increases. How do you do this? You either do something in the forums that people will be thankful for, or be as funny as you can be, or make lots of long serious replies that people agree to.
