But if this wasn't the case, then why did Itachi tell them both to fire there best attacks at Chibaku Tensei?
as I said before, nagato is still a baby when it comes to strategy, he was just a normal kid that was taught some things by jiraiya, because of his power, he never really had to strategize, itachi would would take him to whole new world in that department. and itachi also has genjutsu,tsukyomi, amaterasu,susano'o, totsuka, and yata mirror. but nagato's techs are really powerful, that is what makes them equal. it could go either way.

In a different battle are jiraya would lose horribly to deva path....For eg, the place where lee fought gaara, deva could use chibaku tensei.....He couldn't in that tower because the entire structure would collapse and nagato was crippled at the top, he'd kill himself, His movesets were constricted ...I would love to know how jiraya gets out of chibaku tensei? unless he has a jutsu on a power scale of a tbb + rasen shruiken +yasaka magatama he's dead

FFS only i can say.. this fan hyping is getting ridiculous... ofc its easy for itachi to seal him from shadows once nagato is focusing/killing on bee+naruto and itachi comes from back...+nagato could have moved away from blade but he resisted from moving..u can re-read that part from manga any moment ^^,.. u just have no point in this whole thread.. srsly xd

Its already been stated that its hard to dodge that blade because it swings fast as hell xd.... How is Nagato a baby when it comes to strategy? He must be at least like 40 years old. I mean, he knows Tobi and Madara.
It takes real strategy to lead the Akatsuki (Tobi didn't make all the plans) and it takes real brains to invade the strongest ninja village you know. And also it take strategy and brains to run a village.

okay, so he knows tobi and madara, like 2-3 of his pains was defeated by naruto's strategy, and naruto's smarts is not on the same planet as itachi's.
running a village is not the same as battle strategy, the feudal lord of the fire country is good when it comes to running an ENTIRE country, but know nothing about battle.
Nagato led an entire faction in a civil war that his side one. And like I said before he successfully invade Konoha where others have failed (Madara,Tobi,Orochimaru). And have you forgotten before Naruto Naagto never lost a fight
there's not much strategy when you just pull someone toward you, or grow mechanical arms and shoot explosions at your enemies, or when you can just shinrei tensei a whole village away, or summon ridiculous strong monsters that basically only an S-class can defeat. can't you see, it's because of his rinnegan that he don't know real strategy.
and there wasn't much strategy in invading the village, all he did was alert them to their presence and then scattered to confuse them so he could do his search. oro entered the village by disguising himself, they did it their own way.
