deva with moderate difficulty. Considering Gai has no long range attacks, and for all his speed in gates, shinra tensei is basically undodgeable, and deva has speed/reaction feats that put him above kakashi gai's only way to hurt deva would be after-noon tiger, which can't put deva down without directly hitting him more than once considering deva survived a TBB when he was close to the center of it.

There is a short time period between every repulsion or attractive force that Pain uses in Deva path, and in between that period he is very much vulnerable..Gai might win this one cuz he'll use his final gate in the end...presuming that he'll be smart enough to figure the catch with the time period, that is xd

I'd just like to point out the fact that an extremely weakened and half dead Kisame without Samehada showed no difficulty with keeping up with Guy's speed while in the 7th gate. In fact, if Kisame had known that he couldn't absorb the chakra of Guy's Daytime Tiger then he probably would've given him a pretty hard time. So I don't see why Deva Path wouldn't be able to pull off a Shinra Tensei and, ya know, practically slaughter Gai. Doesn't really matter how fast he is, I won't believe that he can defy gravity until he flies. And, just curious, @ fastrthnwind: how exactly does Daytime Tiger counter Shinra Tensei? I just want to see where you're coming from with that. You're basically saying that Guy can attack gravity itself. @_@ I like Guy, but... uh... no? O_O

Gai only gets ninjutsu that we have we have seen him use or is implied that he can use. If anything we can allow him to use basic ninjutsu like substitution or bunshin.

Afternoon tiger is dodgeable by the guy who outran the sixtails naruto.
Afternoon tiger's shockwave is tankable by the guy who tanked a bijuudama at almost point blank.

That's not the point that I'm making. Your argument is invalid because Guy hasn't been shown to use any other ninjutsu besides the summoning. If anyone's thinking of basic reasoning here, then it would be you in believing that because Guy can use ninjutsu while in the Gates means that he has any talent for ninjutsu at all. Has Guy ever used any elements? Has Guy ever used any actual offensive, defensive, or even basic supplementary ninjutsu? No, and so the argument of him being able to use ninjutsu is completely pointless because he hasn't been shown to be able to use anything besides a basic summoning.
