I think that the black flames will eventually outdo the susanoo mostly for the fact that the amatersu uses less chakra and will eventually burn through susanoo while susanoo takes up too much chakra to maintain?

First of all, Susanoo gives no protection against Amaterasu becuase its transparent.

Amaterasu will keep burning and it is slow burning since it didn't even damage sasuke's susano. So it should not penetrate susanoo at all. Another counter is to let susanoo take the amaterasu, deactivate it and reactivate a clean one.

Great idea, turn Susano off and on kinda like rinse and repeat.

Amaterasu will get its opponent, not because it will overcome susaoo but because whilst the oponent is in susanoo they will not get affected, but they wouldnt be able to maintain susanoo for 7 days, until amaterasu stops burning.

So basically as soon as their chakra runs out, susanoo deactivates, amaterasu gets them.

I dont think it was in direct contact with sasuke' susanoo. It seems like sasuke molded it around susnaoo, but there wasnt any contact between the two jutsu's. Also once the user deacitvates susanoo (the barrier between them and amaterasu), amaterasu will surely get them

Nah, Susanoo is like armor. The samurai got hit with amaterasu, he shed his armor he was fine. Susanoo gets hit with amaterasu, the user releases susanoo, the flames go away. Amaterasu will continue to burn until its target is destroyed. Since the susanoo user is behind susanoo, the target of amaterasu will be susanoo, therefor once susanoo is ended the flames go away since its original target cannot be burned any more.

And regarding sasuke's flames, it was in direct contact with his susanoo. This is especially evident when he manipulates the flames to attack raikage when he tries the drop kick.
