Madara somehow knows nagato but looking at the timeline it doesn't make sense since madara knew oonki when he was a kid , and onoki being many years older than jirayi who was nagato,s sensei. but when madar is summoned he looks young and in his prime but that's because kabuto used a special summoning edo on madara

infact i think madara died of old age, this would explain how he knew nagato. i was just thinking its not really as complicated as people tried to make it, some people even say tobi is the real nagato, they call him nagato uchiha.

Nagato is an Uzumaki, Tobi points that out. Maybe Tobi is the real Nagato, hence why he can't turn off his Sharingan. If he was an Uchiha he could easily turn it off.

The real Madara did live beyond the battle with Hashirama at VoTE. How long? No one but Kishi knows... Maybe long enough to manipulate the 'implanting' of his Rinnegan in a suitable Uzumaki. Tobi might very well be an Uzumaki or Uchiha disciple (or son) of the real Madara. But the mystery to me, besides 'who is the masked man', is how did the Real Uchiha Madara die? The 2nd Sage of the Six Paths with his Rinnegan, the power of a god and Sharingan dojutsu. Izanami... Izanagi. They just about erase any attack on him.

He obtained Hashirama's power during their fight, and Hashirama's cells grants you long life. Madara gave his rinnegans to Nagato before he died, that Nagato could revive him later with rinne tensei. Tobi kept eye on Nagato, and made sure that Nagato would join him.
