To all of those who STILL argue what is spam, and what is not, I'll note the bullshit that most players do to win.​

2. Jump and Guard
3. Jutsu spam
4. Dash ultimate's, tag ultimate's, sub ultimates
5. Sub grabs
6. Tilt spam
7. Shuriken spam
8. X or Square spam

All of these are the cheap, but clever moves that have developed offline, and online in Storm history. There is no such thing as "taijutsu" spam.As a matter of fact, people should do more taijutsu. Sure, the list of things are clever and get you a win, but let's admit that they're unfair, they make you look desperate and they're over used. It's just annoying... Some say it takes "skill" to ... Lol... Throw a tag at someone and hit an ultimate, or sub someone and do an ultimate.... It really isnt... Here is a list of things that the first generation of storm players have developed. IN my opinion, the talented, and skillful things....​

1. Slowing down combos
2. Combo cutting
3. Team combo cutting
4. substituting slowed combos

Now that we've reviewed that, look at it and consider the following.​

My personal opinion:

the only characters that are unfair to spam with really are deidera, cause he's like the most overpowered character in the game, and the the puppet users, cause their defenses are ****ing gay, but both can be taken down by a half decent player using rock lee

I think that people have become so obsessed with just getting wins, that the fun and the REAL style of playing has subdued.
They see ways that can catch people off guard, and keep doing it and forget that real skill comes from the list that i put down.. Not saying that I'm a victim of this, because i find it easy to beat a spammer. And you're right, certain characters can take down others. I tested ALL of them in vs mode.

I mostly agree. I don't care how much someone uses substitution jutsu, I can match them. I am glad the next game will have a substitution jutsu gauge because it'll give players the chance to use taijutsu without automatically seeing a substitution jutsu followed by a ninjutsu or ultimate jutsu.

The players who only throw are pathetic and I truly wonder why they even bother playing.

Honestly I don't even know what half the things you listed are...combo cutting, team combo cutting, substituting slowed combos? I don't know what you mean what is x or square spam and tilt spam? Also how many ninjutsu's do you have to use for it to be considered spam?

Personally I wouldn't count guard as spam. They're just choosing to guard, it's smart to use. Do you expect people to just stand still to get hit without jumping out of the way or guarding? It doesn't seem too realistic that people should or would do that.

And also, combo cutting is cutting your combo and finishing it off with a different attack (jutsu, grabs, etc).

Same goes for team cutting, exepct you use your supports as ways to stengthen your combos...

You slow down your combos by pressing the button slower, which makes it more difficult to sub.

I see what you mean. I do agree with you as well. It's tough though, with the way Storm 2 was designed its spammer paradise. I've only fought maybe 3 people at the Hero level who legitimately attack solely through taijutsu and don't get killed for it. There are some people who can play so fast it's astonishing to me. I personally try to do a little of everything and I particularly enjoy nailing spammers with a well timed ultimate jutsu. I used to abhor Deidara players, but now I smile and pick Sasuke (kirin) and destroy them mercilessly.

I personally love using Taijutsu in the game because it's fun and I love the animation and how it flows for it. Tis be why I like to use Hidan because he's pretty good at Taijutsu in that aspect. I love his down taijutsu where you come somersaulting onto their head with your giant scythe, it's so cool. The same goes for Kakashi, hitting them on the head with Raikiri. <3

But yeah I haven't really spammed much, except for when a had a friend come over and all we did was spam grab+jutsu. It was fun, but I don't personally play like that. I got hate messages one time because I beat someone as Ino and apparently spammed flower bombs.

It's aggravating fighting spammers. Theyre all the same lol

I think the same works for Naruto and Neji. Just their step back when using a down jutsu is annoying to handle, plus they jump. So if they manage to sub against you they're still screwed.
