It really all depends on what platform you're playing on. I've heard Battlefield 3 is more oriented for the computer, so it might be downgraded on Xbox and PS3 in terms of player quality and so on. Personally I'd get Call of Duty because it's more console oriented which is what I'm going for with these two games.

I'd highly recommend you get BF3 though if you're buying for a computer. It's more oriented for it that way, and you'll have a better experience.
