Never Judge a anime by the first few episodes.... when i first watched One Piece is when i had first started the middle of the original Naruto which at that time One Piece was alot better no offense to Naruto OP just has this thing about it that makes it Badass i mean seriously Luffy is and will always be the most badass main character in any anime and OP will always be my favioret Anime so never insult it again please

Yeah I don't think that many Naruto fans who give One Piece a real chance would say that Naruto is light years ahead of One Piece. They would likely still favor Naruto like I do, but I'd expect they'd find some things they really enjoy in the series. One thing for me is One Piece has a lot more cringe moments for me...like when the Okama show up, Buggy, the CP9 member who turns into a giraffe, the perverts and super perverts...I personally don't have nearly so many cringe moments watching Naruto, just mainly the perverts and the Kin-Gin Brothers.

For Naruto fans who want to say they hate One Piece, if you don't even know what Haki is you don't really have enough information to talk about One Piece short of the tidbits you've seen. I understand the some of the characters/drawings are really goofy, but One Piece has a pretty awesome story, that you'd probably like, if you can get past the things that are bugging you.

When I say: One Piece is better than Naruto, my opinion has more basis and more ground than anyone else in this thread who says otherwise. You wanna know why? Because I've seen ALL episodes and read ALL chapters of BOTH manga, so I know what they are about.
Someone who has watched all of Naruto and only seen 10% of One Piece that says that Naruto is better, his opinion has no basis as he has only seen 10% of it. (10% being 52 episode, most of the people who are talking smack about One Piece haven't even seen 10 episodes).

I read the manga all the way to 340(+ maybe more) So I do know what I'm talking about. I would think people would understand others opinions and interest . One Piece doesn't seem interesting to me any more.

Again sale doesn't make a manga good (I know it does,but every one have different likes and dislikes). Sure a lot of people are liking it,but those people are not me. IMO DBZ>Naruto >Bleach>One Piece

I watched a few episodes and to be honest, but One Piece just seemed stupid and childish like said. I mean I didn't feel the same nostalgia I felt for Naruto when I watched it the first time. Even if I did watch all of it, I doubt I will have changed my opinion. Also One Piece fans do need to stop hating people who just don't like it. Why should we GTFO? This is a naruto forum so shouldn't you GTFO? And I do like OP. I've read all manga chapters and seen all Episodes. So don't go bitching that I haven't seen everything and it starts to get excited at the end of it.

Anyway, like I said. I do like OP, but I don't like it as much as Naruto. They both have very good storylines (Naruto has a slightly better story), but the art of OP isn't anywhere near that of Naruto. If the art of OP was always the same as the art of STRONG WORLD, then I would liked it much more. But it isn't..

Overall, I like both manga's/animes and I love watching them. I don't get why people compare them, because they're completely different. They both have their good and bad sides.

How many other people who are Naruto fans on Naruto Base started reading One Piece and stopped though because they didn't like it?...I don't know percentages or anything like that, but I'm sure the people who are up to date on One Piece and Naruto are not the majority. It's hard to say how it would break down if everyone was up to date on both. My opinion is if 100% of the people were caught up on both likely more than 50% would probably still favor Naruto.

There is a reason the other 80% or so of Naruto fans (on Naruto Base) haven't started reading One Piece or stopped after starting. I personally tried to read One Piece 2 times before I could get into it. I had a hard time with the artwork because I do like the more serious artwork of Naruto and Bleach. The humor at times is hard for me particularly the Okama and the perverts. The overall goofiness particularly towards the beginning made it seem like One Piece is more for kids than adults. Honestly the reason I kept giving One Piece chances was largely due to people on Naruto Base and how strongly they defended One Piece when people bashed it. Even once I began reading it there were still arcs that I had a hard time enjoying...the majority of Sky Island and the majority of Thriller Bark were dull to me.

Seems like you forgot what a cartoon is after watching Naruto. Newsflash: It's for children, thus stupid and childish. It's like if its childish, its not for you. But the fact is, most of us enjoy it because its stupid and childish.

Luffy is goofy and really stupid, he's not just acting like it. And he doesn't stop being stupid and goofy even in the heat of battle. There are like a few moments when Luffy gets all serious and when he does that, you'll have chills running down your spine for days.
Luffy is 95% goofy, 5 % serious.

Where as Naruto is more like 30% goofy, 70% serious. And when he becomes goofy, it's not really as funny or when he becomes all serious, its not that exciting, because you are used to seeing him serious a lot of the time and goofy some other times. However Luffy is good at being goofy and stupid, so even if he's goofy and stupid 95% of the time, its funny the whole time, because hes an expert at what he does.

I think a lot of people including me prefer the manga/anime they read/watch to be more serious and that's why I think that if everyone on Naruto Base got into both Naruto and One Piece a majority would still prefer Naruto. I prefer the character to be more serious. I personally like Naruto much more than Luffy. My favorite One Piece characters are Zoro, Mihawk, Rayleigh, and Shanks. Shanks reminds me a lot of Goku, I don't know if anyone else ever thinks that. Shanks can party, laugh, have a good time, and yet he gets intense when it matters. I love when he goes to talk to White Beard and nearly everyone on White Beard's crew can't stand because of Shanks' Emperors Haki. It's always amazing to me that as you said 95% of the time Luffy is being goofy and stupid, I do prefer characters who turn on the serious intensity when the time matters.

As for people trying to say if you've read naruto before one piece you will enjoy naruto more, that is wrong. I only read naruto when I came to this site then gradually moved from naruto to bleach, and bleach to one piece. And I have to say that even though one piece annoyed me the first few episodes I kept watching for what was to come in the future episodes. It took me almost 2 months to completely catch up with One Piece and by now it is my favorite current anime and manga, and may surpass my former favorites.

Bleach and Naruto just aren't on OP's level

I've watched about 22 episodes of the series so far and I don't mind it, but I'll be honest because I have a preference for anime that is a bit more serious though, however it's good to kick back and cut loose once in a while. I mean, this anime does just that, it provides an easy story-line to follow, however the overall story lacks a realistic maturity, but perhaps that's what makes it so unique.
