Few examples-

Agaisnt meteors - Deva Path would counter with shinra tensei or Deidara will blow it up to smaller pieces.

It wouldn´t counter anything, i could have the strongest most unbreakable shield yet still fly back or get destroyed with the pressure, gaara was supposed to have an absolute defense, raikage was supposed to have an absolute defense, susanoo was supposed to be an absolute defense so don´t tell me that a small round shield could block the ton of mass that the falling gigantic meteor had.
