Isn't it about time we see the color of the 9-tomoe?

I know the anime has shown the 9-tomoe shar-rinnegan eye to be red, but don't you guys think its about time for Kishi to show us it's color in the manga? I mean it would be ridiculous if the Anime got it wrong and its actually purple, but if that's the case than I want to know right away.

If it's truly red, than IMO that would imply its the original sharingan and perhaps it was native to the Juubi. But if in fact its purple, than that would imply that its the ultimate combination of Sharingan and Rinnegan, perhaps the perfect eye. I really lean towards it being the original sharingan, however, because we have never seen the sage with anything other than the regular Rinnegan.

But anyway, I really want to know the color of the 9 tomoe once and for all. What about you guys?

Btw, wouldn't this chapter have been the best time to show it?

I mean wouldn't it have been awesome if Kishi just projected the 9-tomoe on that moon to show it off? I mean its the perfect page for it, considering that was the first time we saw the actual color of Tobi's new suit right? I'm just disappointed he hasn't shown it yet.

Heh I completely forgot that I made this thread :), but having not seen the color in the manga yet is getting on my nerves.

i guess its purple b'coz tobi's new mask is colored purple. :)
just guessin'
That's a decent assumption but we have to assume its red for now.... until he actually shows it in the manga.

I never thought the color of the eye mattered?
It does matter. Most people assumed it was purple from the start, considering the only time it was shown was when the Sage was seen in front of the Juubi. Because of this, most people assumed that its eye was purple simply because he was under the Sage's control. But again, the sage has never been shown to have had the 9-tomoe, only the original rinnegan. So for now, there is a piece missing in the puzzle.

Either the 9-tomoe is red and belonged to the Juubi, or it was purple and was the 'fully released' version of the Sage's Rinnegan. I guess with the recent chapters showing the progression of sharingan into rinnegan, we have to consider the possibility of there being another upgrade.... but for now that is fantasy. Again, I really think that the 9-tomoe is red. Give the anime a little credit, they do some things really well. Check out shippuden 205 roughly minute 5:57 and 8:36.

After showing the 9-tomoe as red, the Juubi is later shown with what appears to be the normal purple rinngan. If the Anime is right, than perhaps this purple eye appeared when the Juubi was being controlled and the 9-tomoe was in fact the Juubi's original eye.

its purple but i saw it in red too
Well you can't take into account anything fan made. All we have to go on is the manga (where its color has not been shown) and the anime, as I just explained above.

It's not?! Damn, I just bought an Atari!

But true, I want to seeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee :D Maybe it's rainbow? xD If the anime got it wrong, they'd just fix it in later episodes, like they did with Pain's Rinnegan. Makes them look weird, though. LOL.
Other people have mentioned that too, but don't put Pain's rinnegan in the same category of the 9-tomoe. Truth is, the way the anime showed the rinnegan was IDENTICAL to how it was shown in the manga. At that point, Kishi had clearly no decided what he wanted the Rinnegan to look like. That is why it looked different in the early chapters with pain. But this is a different case. Kishi has indeed chosen the look of the 9-tomoe and perhaps he has chosen the color as well. Thing is, I don't know whether or not Kishi is involved in such discussions when it comes to the anime. I can only hope that either the Anime crew got it right by chance, or Kishi told them it was red. But if the anime is wrong and the eye turns out to be purple, than that would be a debacle far worse that the change in the look of the rinnegan.

Yeah, I know what you mean. But the Byakugan's white, Sharingan red, Rinnegan purple...

Then... Hmm, this is tricky :| I guess we'll just have to wait and see. Though it might take a while. The 9-tomoe is the eye of the Ten-Tails, and who knows if Tobi will get to accomplish his plan and resurrect it. Personally, I wanna' see the damage it can do :D LOL

It would be nice to see the ten tails in all honestly. We still don't even know what the ten tails looks like at this point. Is it some form of animal? Or is it some creature that doesn't resemble any animal we know today? I mean what the heck is it and where did it come from? Those are the big questions. And the fact that so much effort has been made revive it, it would be a bit of a disappointment if it wasn't revived.

Yeah, true.
I find it so strange that out of all the Tailed Beasts, the Ten-Tails resembles the Nine-Tails in figure most. I hope it looks nothing like the Nine-Tails, though :/ I want some originality, damn it xD And it should be scary. Really scary looking :D

We still have to see what color this Mask is

Huh true, I guess we haven't seen the color of this mask in the manga. But considering he went out of his way to show Tobi's new mask as light purple, it would make sense that this mask is orange like his old one. The orange version of this mask was shown in the anime a great while back and it would make sense that it was orange.

Actually, this mask was shown when Tobi was explaining his background to Sasuke after Itachi died. Something along the lines of, "I infiltrated Konoha, trying to reignite the flames of war. But Itachi found me out".

But it could appear a bluish colour because of the moonlight.
