Homophobia in NB

This starts my crusade -_-
But seriously, lately on NarutoBase, I have gotten fed up with the stupid comments that are really negative towards people of a different sexuality. It is annoying, and this is my way of dealing with it. Before someone wisely chimes in with "And this will make them all stop how exactly?" Realize that this isn't the point. I don't aim to stop all the stupid people. That's like trying to stop water from spreading. Eventually the flow will be too much. The point here is, even though there won't be a widespread change, if at least 5 or 10 people stop, that's good enough.

First off: the thing I find so stupid to say is "That's gay" or other things to that extent. I really doubt an inanimate object is gay, so why not call it stupid. If it's stupid call it stupid. Plain and simple.

Second: The world is changing. And people have to change with it. Racism, sexism, and all the other -isms' are dying out. So change, or shut-up and deal with it.

Third: I don't even get the reasoning behind this one. But for some reason, a double standard exists [and honestly, it is one of the few double standards that exist that adversely affect men] that somehow being a lesbian is ok, but being gay isn't. Like somehow 2 girls kissing, people think "oh, that's hot." But if 2 guys kiss in public, they are labeled "***s" and they should burn in hell. **** that reasoning, because if you accept one group, you have to accept us all. And whether you accept us or not, we are here...

That pretty much concludes this thread.

Well they do- all the time. Using the word gay as an insult is pretty common. Hell once it was used for me and I objected to it and it immediately turned into a group bashing with many more members joining it.

I can still name them- One got banned another somehow ended up with red bar and a third one kept whinning and rest of the group was blaming me for them getting punished as if it was my fault that they behaved badly. The banned one got on an Alt the other one with red bar started arguing with me- funny thing was I hadn't reported but he blamed me for the red bar and ban!!

It was a popular thread , rest of the members were asking me U mad bro instead of telling those to stop.

It's a common appraoch here.

Yeah it sucks we aren't "the norm" But the norm is changing. 50 years ago, you were allowed to rape your wife. Now, you will hopefully be stuck in a cell till your old as dust. Point is, the world is changing, it is the age of technology, but also of acceptance, people either have to adapt, or go away.
