I think that'd be a great shocker D:
It makes sense too. But most likely, the pressure of the ocean below would've caused his lungs to collapse inwards :| ~Physics is speaking here
It'll be lame if he comes back.He is one of my favourite characters but he's dead and his remains are surely lost in the sea so no worries abt him coming back.its better that way

I don't have proof, but for some reason, i keep imagining him turning up on the battlefield, and naruto will be like WTH?
hehe... that would be really funny....
but i personally think that when naruto will be on the verge of death while battling sasuke i think he and maybe with minato and kushina will have some sort of a "heart touching" speech in his mind...or somewhere "else"

physics speaking , no it's impossible because he would float , even with the black metal bars , if he didn't survive his body will reach a point where his body will face up and the bars will eventually slip out and the dead body will rise
and since kabuto said he couldn't find the DNA it means the body never came out , or at least not as a dead body

I disagree, even if Kabuto did have ENOUGH DNA to bring him back, Tobi said "Don't push your luck", meaning Tobi doesn't want him to revive Jiraiya and as someone said, he would be crushed by the pressure of all that water, and also Kabuto clearly mentioned that as well saying the Pressure is too great even for me.

dude how will a dead body be able to push it self so far into high pressure . it won't go that far , this is why divers use fins they push their bodies down
if you though a dead body ito the sea it will float , that's why they roped ossama binladen's body to stoned before throwing him , it's because the US army has enough intelligence to know that he will just float
kabuto was talking about any remaining DNA like some blood or skin
umm, no im not xd
anyways the epic moment was ruined by physics
1. as you said, the body would float so that just screws the whole thing
2. even if it did sink, the pressure would crush him
so lol epic moment =ruined
dude, he is gone. dont get mad towards me about it, you troll xd

As a general rule, . a cadaver in the water starts to sink as soon as the air in its lungs is replaced with water. Once submerged, the body stays underwater until the bacteria in the gut and chest cavity produce enough gas—methane, hydrogen sulfide, and carbon dioxide—to float it to the surface like a balloon. (The buildup of methane, hydrogen sulfide, and other gases can take days or weeks, depending on a number of factors.) At first, not all parts of the body inflate the same amount: The torso, which contains the most bacteria, bloats more than the head and limbs. The most buoyant body parts rise first, leaving the head and limbs to drag behind the chest and abdomen. Since arms, legs, and the head can only drape forward from the body, corpses tend to rotate such that the torso floats facedown, with arms and legs hanging beneath it.

have you ever swam , you need to force the air out of your lungs and push you self down , and you will still come back up
unless someone stoppes you from going up

that is if he drowned , which is how his lungs would get filled with water , but we kishi didn't show us the downing , and as you said even if kishi didn't have a reason to make jiraiya say what he said and not show us the dying moment
as you said eventually he will float , but kabuto couldn't find him , even though he was able to find madara , so the only things possible here is he died as you said , but someone took his body , or he didn't die
