So I've been thinking alot about these GOD DAMN MOTHER ****ING FILLERS recently and I had this really sad realization. Kishi could have just come up with fillers that revolved around the Akatsuki's formation and the fights between them and the 5 and 7 tails jinchuuriki. I would much rather have watched them then this stupid "Naruto on a boat" bullshit.

I know, but still if he had come up with this and then presented it to them saying something along the lines of "THE FANS WILL ACTUALLY LIKE THIS" then I think that he would officially raise to the status of God.

agreed... I think this discussion already happened, if not, apologies. But your spot-on with this post, the formation of akatsuki, the members stories, and some of the jinchuriki battles would have been super appreciated.
I love anime and all, but I can't stand the overly ridiculous stories. I understand that it can be viewed as comic relief, but that's not what I'm looking for in a series. You can add something funny or ridiculous in an episode as long as it's continuing the story. As much as I hate the fillers, I do understand that they need time to prepare for the war arc and alot of crazy animation that they can't just produce on the spot.

even still. filler episodes for this pro-longed period of time, is just a little ridiculous, esp when they have very little substance, its as if THEY think we need a break from the storyline... I work 5 days a week too, so no excuse... and we do not need a break from the story.

the problem is, kishi doesnt have enough time to make up/write info for anime to make fillers with real information/back story\
and the Anime company can't make CRAP up because what if it shows up in the manga later and they made something completely different up?

sure we know that.. but it doesn't mean they cant make better filler episodes.. there is more than enough info in the manga to create better fillers, period. They are simply creating dull fillers because they think it works, I am not complaining, because some fillers are better than nothing, just saying...
But see that's the beauty in having an Akatsuki filler series. Everything would have already happened. So all they have to do is make sure that no one does anything ridiculous that would affect the current story. All they'd have to do is write up an episode that just shows the member joining. Seriously, all they'd have to do is have an episode where like Kakuzu is sitting down on a giant rock somewhere or something thinking about his fight with Hashirama, his defect from the Hidden Waterfall and then the day he joined the Akatsuki and that's it. Nothing too complicated just animate what the fans already know as opposed to something like "Mushrooms from hell"
