Ummm y is that called konichi wa?! It used to be called ding dong. Im just wondering.

They felt like making it more japanese like because since its a naruto forum Konichi wa means welcome or is a word of greeting. A little change never hurt^^

im sure they have in a filler ive heard it being said in the anime once before. So for the name changing they changed it for the purpose that it is a form of greeting and because they wanted to.
