Hmm. Shinra Tensei deflection is faster than movement, as seen with Deva against Kakashi - and Naruto said Nagato was even faster with his jutsu than Deva. Incidentally, being struck was a more a matter of having his vision limited by his own attack.​

Certainly, but you ought to remember Itachi removed both of Nagato's arms before he used CT, and Edo Tensei is what enabled him to regenerate and perform it in the end. Then, and only then, did Itachi arguably need help.

I don't think it's as clear-cut as Nagato supporters are making it out to be, especially when ignoring Tsukuyomi and the advantage of genjutsu in general against a single opponent reliant on reaction-defenses.

but it kabuto is making all the strgegic moves. Nagato didnt have a say in how he fights which he actually didnt want to fight which is most of the case for all edo summons. Regarding genjutsu itachi didnt bother casting it because chika tensei was in affect he didt have time to use genjutsu while the gorund under him going all over the place.

Its like in the 3rd raikage fight, iniatlly before kabuto took control he didnt use his lightning shield and he got cut up hard core because he didnt want to fight. But as we all know things changed when kabuto forced the issue and they couldnt even touch him.

Tell u what though i would love to see itachi reaction after seeing edo madara. Even he would go wtf. lol
