the first hokage was the greatest kage period. he kept up with madara(the one everybody is riding like that girl do^_^) and he has a kkg of earth and water which is wood and he also has fire.

and he was also able to control the bijuuu who else could do that?

abd logic does not work in naruto.Gai defeated kisame but is he stronger when you compare power levels?

what bloody research could you have possibly done to know that minato was strong? kishi gave him no hype like he gave tobirama and hiruzen, the only thing given was a flee on sight. why? because he can killed fodder ninjas real quick -_-, the most that can be said about minato is that he was the strongest in the village at the time because he got selected as hokage, AND THAT is a lie because orochimaru was stronger and was going to get selected over him, if oro hadn't been so sadistic etc etc etc, also that thing about hokage being the strongest in the village seeems to be a lie anyway, because tsunade definitely aint the strongest...

I see a lot of folks creaming over hashirama, because he defeated madara.Well Sarutobi defeated him and his brother as a 68 years old man.Not only that but he managed to make orohimaru's hands useless,thus saving the village from total destruction.

Remember, the place was sealed off, so sarutobi could not get sealing equipment like the folks in the shinobi alliance.Hashirama and tobirama were not polite enough to tell sarutobi about their weaknesses, and he still blew their legs off(fact).He broke the indestructable wood hashirama is known for,and had sharp enough senses to know everybody's positions inside the eternal darkness jutsu.

Did i mention he was 68 years old? His chakra levels were miserable(enma quote),and he was mocked not only by himself, but oro, and all the other spectators of the battle.People are surprised he used Minato's tech when hiruzen was known for mastering every technique in konoha.

People just like to underrate hiruzen,because we haven't seen him since part 1, which was ages ago(plus no flashback of him in prime).The guy has the best hype of any kage,and it is kinda ignorant to disregard kishi's words.

this thread is supper dupper FAIL!!!! its saddreally! i can tell you didnt read the manga... if you did you would see saru was getting owned the whole fight and stood no chance in hell winning! and oru was playing with him the whole time! they were standing around the most the time watching/letting saru and oru talk and have flash backs.

do you read the manga??? they didnt even show all there moves

hashi'- secret scrrolls he used against madara, didnt destroy that small roof they fought on, (he built the whole leaf village btw)

tobimaru- space time nin, edo tensei, and other feats he could of did.

you are a prime example of some one who uses emotions to base there opinion off of instead of the manga.. sad..

We have two statements, one by jiraiya that minato was the strongest leaf ninja ever.

One by raikage that minato was the strongest ninja.

Kishi said in an interview that the strongest dead nin was either the hiruzen or minato.

This proves if anything that character statements are to be taken with a grain of salt, and that we cannot conclude a character's place in the manga based off of one character statement.

but minato was not stated to be the strongest kage of his time like hiruzen was, so your speculating how good he was , when all we've seen was a incomplete a level rasengan, ftg,and some seals ,


kages in hiruzen's time i think were, a , garras father,yagura as the mizukage(being controlled by tobi), oonoki would have been the tsuchikage but younger

My opinion that the First was the strongest personally still stands. I just think the 3rd and the 4th were extremely close in skill.

As for the Tsunade part, lol... But she's the best in her own way, in her own way..

ive seen the first hokages jutsu. it brings fear. you cant stop him unless your someone close to madaras power. or narutos or sasukes.

plus kisame is slow. he doesnt have speed. he cant mess with a master of taijutsu that doesnt use much chakra

Wrong.The raikage never said that and if you look at the context he clearly meant speed,when he talked minato not being surpassed.Naruto surpassed minato before sage mode,but we all know that isn't true.

It doesn't matter who played with who,the end result was still the same.Didn't saruto blow up their legs? If they were alive they would have been handicapped.False?

It says in the Manga that Sarutobi was the strongest of all the Hokage. This statement was made after Minato had died. No one has ever stated anything to dispute this. Its pretty clear that you are the one being insensible by trying to claim that the manga is wrong because you don't agree with what is blatantly said. I am done talking to you. lol i just went and reread the entire raikage vs minato fight, and didn't find it , so yea , which leaves the interview that i heard was fake, if i can find a link for it ><, the only hype i know that minato received, is "fastest person alive","strongest in konoha when orochimaru left"
