When Kabuto said he was *his* supporter, did he mean Madara or could he have meant Orochimaru? He does refer to him by name as if he knew Madara knew Orochimaru.

Think about it.

Orochimaru could use the Edo Tensei, he met Nagato one time, he tried to take over Itachi's body and longed for Sasuke's body, and he was working with Kabuto on gathering info on Madara. So could that *he* Madara is referring to be Orochimaru?

It can't be the second Hokage because it's unlikely that he would use the technique for such purposes.

And even Madara doesn't know much about the Edo Tensei requiring a demonstration from Kabuto and showing skepticism of the technique's supposed invincibility. He even had a Zetsu spore planted on Kabuto showing that he may not have sufficient knowledge of it.

So who are we left with that knows the technique and may have been known by Madara: Orochimaru

So Kabuto was lying about who Orochimaru tried to revive? Or didn't know what he was talking about?

There is also no proof that Orochimaru knew that the 4th could not be revived.

Kabuto stated to Tobi that He could not bring back anybody that had ben sealed away. That list consisted of the First Second,Third and Fourth Hokages, What Kabuto knows came from Orochimaru Himself.

When Madara said, "He", he probably ment Tobi. Also there is one more person who knows Edo and that is the creator himself. The second hokage who names start with "Tobi". Just a lil theory I been making for a while.

First you summon someone before a battle to see if it works or not, do you assume something works or do you first try it out to see if it works? When Kabuto like Orochimaru summon someone to a battlefield they had tried it out before. You do not go to battle unless you know some you have works, and how do you know if it works? you try it out to work out the flaws, it common sense,If you buy a knife for fighting, you better know how to use it or it becomes a liability not an aceet again thats common sense, or are you saying Orochimaru was too stupid to try it out first?

Well, if Orochimaru did plan to use Madara...really.
What does it even matter now?

Sure if he did he would probably have ruled the shinobi world, even itachi and nagato could'nt begin to challenge Madara.
