He got hit and transformed. Aizen's aim was to be God, to transcend a shinigami and hollow. He reached that form after Gin stabbed him. Whether or not Isshin, Urahara and Yoruichi had attacked he still would have evolved.
1) His first form: was the chyrsalis form. It was just a shell.

Ichigo is the main character. If Ichigo doesn't beat the main villain what is the point of Ichigo then?

Aizen was strong. His evolution was a step by step process which would have still happened if he fought or not.

Aizen could have destroyed all of them simply using his Kyoka Suigetsu but chose not to, just to show them how hopeless their situations were.
Gin had been with Aizen for centuries and uncovered the only way to beat complete hypnosis. But wait, Aizen knew that too, but chose to allow him to live just to see what would happen.

Yeah he got beat by Ichigo, but Ichigo would have obliterated anyone at that time.

Saying he is weak is retarded and shows your lack of knowledge in regards to Bleach.

he is WEAK. and yea i do agree he couldve used his shikai to kill every1, but! his cockyness was his #1 Weakness. so i stand by it. and i say agen Curiousity killed the cat, he was eager to how gin was going to try and kill him. so thats another weakness

The Gin incident as Aizen explained was necessary for his evolution to be complete.
One weakness does not make you weak, everyone has at least one. If anything the fact that his only weakness was that he was over-confident (borderline cocky) shows his strength. He didn't even need to do anything to beat people. He let them try all their different techs (referring to Kisuke, Yourichi, and Isshin) and then when he was bored with their futile attempts he demonstrated the difference in their strengths.
The only weakness I think he had is that he underestimated Ichigo's potential.

He played with them in the chrysalis state. He was just curious as to their attempts, but in power he was beyond the need to defend anyway. You claimed he was weak. He clearly was nothing of the sort. You claimed his cockiness was a weakness, but for his power level and the opponents he was fight it didn't matter.
