Here was my response, and why I knew it wasnt Madara.

do you really have to ask why?

1) even 2 chapters ago, Zetsu STILL calls him Tobi (does anyone spend more time with Tobi than Zetsu?)

2) we have still not seen his whole face ( we have seen the real Madaras face, so we should be able to INSTANTLY recognise him without the mask)

3) He ALWAYS has his Sharingan active (which might mean he cant turn it off like Kakashi)

4) Kabuto summoned a coffin that made Tobi crap his pants...and Kabuto told him " dont worry I havent told a soul" .....which probably means Kabuto knows something about Tobi that no one else knows. (possibly the REAL Madara was in that coffin)

basically, ALL of those reasons are enough to at least DOUBT who Tobi really is...

No one knows yet for sure, but dont act like its a proven fact.

Obviously Kishi wants us to keep guessing, or he would have already shown us all the facts and info we need to prove once and for all who he really is.

So stop acting like its already been proven...because it hasnt.

I have known it wasn't Madarra since he first appeared. But for a different reason, you see he never shut his sharingan off. which means it was transplanted which means he needed a transplant, and since Madarra had taken his brothers eyes he would never need a transplant again. plus he never used his EMS which would be his go to move, instead he stayed in the regular sharingan form as if he were afraid to go MS at the risk of over using. now i know where you are going to go with this. "but he wasted one of his eyes with izangi/izanami(i can't remeber but it was in the fight against Konan)" yes but he also knew that he was about to get a new eye to replace it (the ranningan) and it only helps my point that he didn't go MS during that fight.

He can not be Obito

Obito was the same age as Kakashi, but when Tobi attacked the villiage when Naruto was Born, Kakashi was still a kid, but Tobi looked EXACTLY like he did in present time.

I will post the manga links when I find them, but in the same manga chapter you see Kakashi and Guy and they get called kids. In that same chapter we see minato fighting Tobi, and Tobi is an adult.

Another reason Obito is not Tobi is because Tobi is from Madara/Hashirama's time. To me it's either real Nagato(see the page 2 of chapter 599) which means that Nagato we saw was a test tube of Tobi's (he did mention it couple of times himself) or it is Kagami Uchiha because he's from that time and im to tired to explain anything but there are alot of theories on this. It's definetly not Izuna, that would be too boring. Whoever it is he is going to be epic and whole naruto fanbase will be shocked and amazed at the same time.

I've never believed that Tobi is Madara. I'm sure that he's Izuna.

so the next majo question is WHO IS TOBI? i think that will be answered after/during the real fight begins and i wonder if sasuke and itachi will come to the battlefield that would be epic, the last three uchiha(well sasukes the only one left considering that both itachi and madara died) finally meet, and i wonder if that happens will sasuke aplogize to itachi "brother, sorry i killed you" lmfao
but i wonder what madaras views on itachi and sasuke will be, such a if he will criticize them or if it will remind him of himself and izuna

The reason so many people were adamant about Madara being Tobi is because Kishi laid it on unbelievably thick as to giving us proof to why Tobi was Madara. Basically every single well-versed character in the Naruto universe admitted that only Madara could actually be Tobi. Yes, he gave a great number of reasons to believe that Tobi was not Madara, but the evidence supporting him being Madara was overwhelming compared to that. I honestly thought the chances were better that Tobi was indeed Madara rather than not and I'll admit that I was wrong (lol in fact I think I even posted that I would be the first to admit it) but don't act like it was easy to see Tobi was not Madara before this chapter.

Either way, the evidence is still overwhelming that Tobi, at the very least, was in close contact with Madara for the majority of his life. After some consideration, the only solution I can come up with is that Tobi is the orginal Zetsu and has basically become a clone of Madara. So in a way, Tobi is Madara, but he is not the real Madara. Since there is an Edo Madara, that means that the entirety of Madara's soul was in the pure world. That means that Tobi's soul/ consciousness is that of a different person. I can only suggest, based on this evidence, that Tobi is a Zetsu clone (or the orginal Zetsu) that possibly is using the body of an Uchiha, like Kagami for instance.

His abilities are something to think about though, his space time I mean, so perhaps he inherited some of Madara's tech from becoming a perfect clone essentially? Idk but I don't think it will be as simple as Tobi being Izuna, theres more to it.

I must say, I honestly did not care at all that we saw Edo Madara this chapter (in regard to being wrong about Tobi), the chapter was so unbelievably epic that I can't imagine any Naruto fan being disappointed by it. End of story.
