How are Jutsu like reaper death seal tested?

not sealing techniques, you would have to just trust the process (and anyways, the technique is an ancient technique, so seeing as its been done before, you can trust the technique to work).
no he didn't, he learned the technique off kushina, the technique is based on the eight "Eight Trigrams Sealing Style" which is from the Uzumaki clan.

To all the people saying clones, I dont think it works that way.
When either the original or clones use the technique the original user still has to make the contract with the death reaper. So they can have as many clones use the seal as they want, but the person still loses their soul at the end

not sure where you got this but if you can link me, cant find it.
my reasons is that although the technique is based on the eight trigrams, its not kushinas jutsu being that the death reaper seal is a non-jinchuriki technique.
chapter 503 is also titled "minato's death demon seal" and sarutobi also acknowleged it to be minato's in his fight with orochimaru. so this is why i think the death reaper seal was created by minato.
But in the anime, dozens of souls were sealed in the reaper, do you honestly think minato sealed that many (WITHOUT BEING SEALED HIMSELF)
when hiruzen first summoned the reaper, it showed the souls of those inside.
this is why i think the technique is ancient. And i didn't say that it was kushina's technique, but i know that she taught him sealing jutsu's (and the reaper death seal would be one).

pervy old man cannot die when his clone use the technique... instead its his chakra was sealed when he used it to 1st and 2nd hokage... he died after he himself used it to orochimaru......

gonna have to disagree bro. it wasnt dozen, there were only 4 souls showing, it doesnt show the shinigami's belly. i presume the four souls lingering on the outside were the 1st, 2nd and sarutobis 2 clones(which actually shows the shinigami grabbing the souls and eats it while oro is watching)

read this, kushina talks as if the technique has been used before (she has knowlege to this technique), so i think i prove my point when i say minato didn't make this technique.

That was the chapter I read that made me think that too. It wasn't stated minato created it besides from the 3rd. But the 3rd could of never known the uzumaki known it and kushina taught it to him. In the manga pages with the 3rd I think it just meant that he used it. Not made it.

no it doesnt prove your point. it just proves she knows about it because ofcorse its minatos wife. even sarutobi saw it and knew it was the death reaper seal. so if sarutobi later in life said wat he said then its true.
