Yeah we do know, it doesnt.

There really are just 2 ways, letting the summoner do handseals to release the edos or sealing the edo summonings. If you kill the summoner theres only one way left to beat the edos.

So... if killing the summoner means the edos remain... does that mean they will regain freewill and run around as immortals till the end of time? It's a tricky one!

Now thats really tricky, yes

I think yes. Kabuto is the one whos ordering them, and as we saw hes binding some of them stronger than the others (3rd Raikage and Nagato as example) so I think all would be free if he would die.

But sadly Itachi said that hes gonna stop the Edo Tensei, not only free them. I bet that Kishimoto dont want the old Kages/other ninjas running around
