Getting influenced and +rep an @sshole who just spoke sh!t of an anime that he watced 50 episodes, you should perhaps get a bit more sense. How do you know that something is bad because of one people's opinion?
And about you liking Hunter x Hunter and not DBZ ect...
I'll put it simple in comparing anime for you (since you seems to understand this type of language better just like you believed that troll's words when he compared it to Bleach and NAruto)!
If you like both One Piece and Naruto, then you gotta love Fairy Tail.

This is a Universal Forum and Naruto is only the core of it. Only the Naruto Media and Naruto RPG section are related to Naruto and the rest is general foruming talks.

Lol at these kids getting played by a troll. Fairy Tail is great. Worth putting the time into it. There isn't really much left to say though, Escorpiius pretty much covered it all in that hellish long post.
Fairy tail is alright I guess.
I've never actually watched the anime, but read manga every week. And I enjoy it.
Nothing over the top, but its good entertainment. It has its ups and downs, but I've never so to say, disliked the series, but I don't feel the same enjoyment when I read Fairy Tail as I do when I read One Piece.

And about character development... don't you think enough CD was done with Lisanna?!?! I mean, she was developed all the way from episode 20 (i think) to about 95 end of the Edoras arc... and also there's Erza's development, her story with Jellal (or Gerard or however the hell he's called)
About not being related, you obviously haven't reached Oracion Seis arc. It's connected with the Gerard/Jellal arc and the Galuna Island arc (Since Sherry and Lyon come back to fight alongside Gray) and OS is connected then to Edoras arc.... as from Oracion Seis I got hooked, it's a good series... it even beated Bleach in sales in Japan!!

Too be honest it's rare that I will watch an anime from beginning to end, especially animes made after on going manga's, if I do watch an anime episode it is to watch a specific fight that I liked in the manga and woulda liked to see how it would have been done animated.
So to say an anime that is based on a manga to be horrible then just go and read the manga instead. I know there are people who for some reason dislike reading the anime because it's "not colored, and hard to understand/follow the battles/pictures" but that is were ones own imagination kicks in so they can try and imagine with the information given.
The anime's based on mangas tend to lose it's fanbase due to spoilers or not reaching the fans expectations because they tend to expect more and also tend to hate 70-90% of the spoilers of the anime versions of it.
But all I have to say is if you wanna watch anime's based on manga's don't expect a lot out of them, I remember when I first watched Fairy Tail and Soul Eater after reading a few chapters of the manga.....Yes I was disappointed with a few things but then again I still managed to like them due to the odd/unique art styles xd
But anywhore that is it for my rambling
