As sneaky as madara is I can completely see him intentionally not telling everyone about the byakugan part as an insurance. HOW ELSE WILL HE BE ABLE TO KEEP AN "EYE" ON EVERYONE. The way his plan is set up I think he needs the byakugan and I'm not even a fan of the dojutsus. They're cool and all but I much rather see elemantal ninjutsu being used..even taijitsu...the whole eye thing seems like it gives the user too much of a pass. Too much power too quickly...plus it seems like most dojutsu users don't really have to work that hard it's more of a genetic-"if you have it you have it" kind of thing.

I'd love to see more opinions on this please. I see that there have been a lot of views but I want more replies. I love this manga and these discussions are very interesting esp if you make a prediction that comes out to be right...and regaurdless I think for him to fit the third eye his face HAS to be mutated (e.g. danzo's arm)

Good point. Also Ive seen a spoiler of Madaras mask and it is white so that could represent a byakugan. Also with an extra eye hole and if he is mutated as you said it could work out.

I didn't know that but that's very interesting and lends some credibility to my point.

I think it's for air ventilation...His eyes are practically outside the mask. Meaning his face is probably squashed in the mask making him sweat a lot. So the third hole causes the breeze to fly in and calm his face.​

It's a Mask ment for war , it's most likely made from some haxzor material , it just has Sharingan 3 tomoe and Rinnegan ripples pattern design.

Anyone stop to think that even if he DID have a Byakugan... It doesn't require a whole.. It could just see through the mask..
