pain could win i have no objections to that ppl who say itachi destroys pain or vice versa are wrong IMo it would be hard fight and itachii just has an edge in winning is all i believe.

The fact is whatever way you try spin this Nagato is undoubtly the most powerful character featured so far look at his abilties flying,destroyed konoha in one move,makes mini moons can revive dead people wether he would beat Madara or Itachi is your own opinion personally i think after seeing Itachi seal nagato being controlled in edo tensei you think Itachi would win but just look at the bigger picture ok

i am not only basing solely off the fact that he sealed him but other factors where itachi has the advantage like genjutsu, his advantage in speed over him, superior intellect and the fact that his sword did effectively work against him. nagato can beat itachi also i just think itachi has a better chance just because he can destroy konoha in one move does not mean he can beat every other character in the series, there are ppl with more destructive techs than itachi like deidara, kisame and naruto but their chances against him are low. pls nagato beating madara is very low and idk why u can't get that since he has nagato's powers plus his own withwhich he can avoid any attack nagato throws at him but obviously u try to spin it off by saying ppl call him god in his village which frankly does not matter since in comparison madara clearly has the advantage but its ur opinion so go with it.

i see what you mean. But Flying, absorbing, chakra, and shinra tensei's are all useless, when he can be in a Genjutsu at any moment, and wouldn't even know. (Unless Itachi makes it obvious, like making crows pop outta him).
When in Genjutsu, you are a sitting duck. Like Pain may think he killed, Itachi or injured Itachi, when in reality it's all a Genjutsu.
Even if pain can escape it, Itachi can just use it again since his regular Genjutsu requires minimal chakra. Itachi can even make Pain, believe he escaped the Genjutsu, when in reality he's still in it. Like Genjutsu, is the best way to fight Nagato. That is why kishi made EVERTHING jiraiya used Useless, until he used "Genjutsu". That was the most successful attack, ever done on pain. (3 bodies were destroyed while he was in Genjutsu) So Genjutsu is the worst matchup for Pain. Especially someone who uses it as efficently as Itachi.
yea sure he is man that is why jiraya managed to get his paths in one and u clearly have 100% proof behind it so why not believe u xd xd xd im out there is no point discussing this further ppl who think itachi and nagato have their reasons

And I believe Pain has the edge becuz Rinnegan>MS and not only that but he has paths to free him from genjutsu and shinra tensei as a defense and chibaku tensei to finish it all. So I believe Pain has the upper hand although Itachi cud win.
His paths can free him from normal genjutsu like that and Nagato wud know becuz of the Rinnegan, u can see if its genjutsu easily becuz of the Rinnegan's insight. Even when Ma and Pa were singing he knew it was genjutsu because of the Rinnegan. So he cannot do the same thing he did to Deidara on Pain. Pain wud just break out, keep pretha in front to absorb any ninjutsu attack while he does a chibaku tensei to take Itachi out of the picture. Anyways this makes most sense to me, although Itachi cud win Pain is more likely.

well nagato is definitley the most powerful character featured and as for looking at the bigger picture theres a reason why nagato was crippled,theres a reason why Naruto,Itachi and Bee fought him,theres a reason why they get rid of the most overpowered character in the series thats looking at the biiger picture and for this genjutsu debate it is tiring its already been stated how he can defend vs it Nagato and Pain numerous times(Genjustu blocks,Higher dojutsu,Greater visual insight then sharringan,multiple summons,can toture dead bodies etc) and i do you think kishi just left these in just randomly?

^^ Read my earlier post, it is enuf proof and I explained logically, I never jus bash for the ppl who know me know I usually talk some logic. Anyways if my post doesn't change people's mind then thats there opinion. Also I do believe Pain is the most powerful but EMS Sasuke has kind of surpassed him and Naruto wud too soon and Minato is 50/50 wit him in my opinion. I believe current. Madara wud reck him though
tsukiyomi is not a regular genjutsu, itachi's is unique and mentioned by kakshi and he says that ppl can't just put in chakra to free them. he says this to chiyo. also all other paths except preta and deva are likely would go down to amaterasu(it can also get multiple ppl at once so he can get multiple paths as s long he can see them and since they are not fast they would be caught and deva can be dealt with genjutsu and itachi would pretty much win since preta is not a big obstacle to overcome. itachi assuming healthy has more than enough stamina to perform that so [pain's chnaces are lower however no matter what a hell of a fight

if he is the strongest chracter featured why is he not the main villain why is madara. he can't beat everyone dude itachi was also sick which killed him nagato was not the only one with a disadvantage. why did everything change when itachi joined and the fight ended but naruto and bee were useless think about that. ppl like kabuto and madara would very likely beat him where as ppl like minato and itachi have good chances. kishi gave all thses guys fair hype and disadvantages like minato dying early, madara being only a shell of himself, itachi having having a serious illness and so on and so forth, so don't just base it all on that. he is no god and certainly not the strongest when guys like madara and kabuto can very likely beat him and others rival him like itachi and minato.
ps nagato is not a complete rinnegan user he does not have all its paths to completely utilize so no reason why genjutsu should not work.

If we are talking about healthy Itachi... I see him defeating 4, maybe, just maybe 5 paths if he had a really good day, but thats far as he can go, IMO. Pain has counter for any Itachi technique + way bigger chakra reserves.

Yes but if Deva puts pretha in front of him then pretha wud only be hit by tsukyomi while Deva has cast a chibaku tensei. If this still does not make u believe Pain has the upper hand then I can rp u me being Pain and u being Itachi on this thread, we just don't describe our jutsu.

Look people it maybe a matter of time , before we know how Tsukyomi could be broken ( other than being Sasuke Uchiha ) . Maybe Madara will use Mugen Tsukyomi & we will know how it'll be broken.
If the method to break it can be used by high level shinobi , then Tsukyomi fails , if not then you must be Sasuke Uchiha to break it.
