Itachi can beat nagato. I fink nagato is overated and itachi is been underestimated. Nagato having a stronger doujutsu doesn't make him stronger than itachi.

I hope this thread doesn't get like the last one concerning these two characters.
After reading the posts on this thread I really think discussions concerning Nagato and Itachi should be banned, you'll see what I mean on like the second-fifth pages.
Where is there the option of saying both characters have a pretty equal chance of taking each other out. There doesn't always have to be one side over the other, there can be mutual deaths in cases like this. There is absolutly no way in hell that either character will not have a difficult time with the other. I would even say that both would end up dieing in a 1v1 match up.

Itachi underrated? How many of these threads have you actually looked at. I honestly doubt Itachi would of won a 1 on 1 with Nagato. Although I believe its entirely possible for Itachi to win.
People always say, if it wasent for Bee and Naruto, itachi would've died. Which is false.
1. If it wasent for Nagato being an Edo Tensei, he would've never regenreated his hands that got burned by Itachi's Amaterasu at the beggining of their Battle. Therfore if his hands is burnt, he wouldn't be able to use Chibaku Tensei. But luckily Edo tensei regenrated his hands and body.

See his arms and Hands regenerating. 2. Bee and NAruto was getting their ass sent to them, But Itachi came to the rescue, destroyed Nagato's hands AGAIN. Look at Nagatos arms regenerating

See and hands regenerating. So If Itachi was fighting Nagato one on one, Itachi would win because Amaterasu is enough to destroy Nagato, which was proven. So basically Itachi beat Nagato twice. luckily Nagato was an Edo tensei, so he regenerated the limbs he lost from getting Amaterasu'd the first time, Then he got sealed the second time.
With all due respect Nagato fans, but Itachi is on another level.........

yep and kakashi soloed kakuzu, naruto's shadow clone beat muu in 2 seconds, and soloed the third raikage. And according to the databook neji is stronger than naruto.

false, if it weren't for nagato being an edo tensei, he would have shinra tenseied that amaterasu as soon as it hit him. Or absorbed it.
The only reason why itachi could do that was BECAUSE nagato was fighting naruto and bee. If nagato was even remotely thinking of fighting itachi at that time, itachi wouldn't have been able to get close to him.
True he is on another level, a lower level.
Like someone else said, if he wasn't being edo controlled he could of shinra'd the flames off or absorbed them. As far as a 1 vs 1 scenario Nagato wouldn't have to had worried about Naruto and Bee and could of had his undivided attention on Itachi. Besides I'm sure with Nagato being the leader of Akatsuki or at least the figurehead he had great knowledge of Itachi's abilities and thus would not allow himself to be caught so easily.

How pain know about Tsukiyomi. Wouldn't ITachi have to use it on him?
But anyways, i think the result wud be the same if it waz a one on one . I think Itachi would just seal him before Nagato uses Chibaku Tensei since chibaku tensei isn't instantaneous, he could be sealed while he saying "Chibaku Tensei". lol
He could always shinra tensei him before he attempted to seal him or used seagull summon to keep him out of range. As far as Tsukiyomi, he could close his eyes and use his summon's eyes instead.

Nagato isn't fast enough to shinra tensei the Totsuku blade, you saw how fast it periced Orochimaru.
I dont think a "bird" would do anything to Susano'o it will just be pecking at it, not affecting it at all.
Itachi already knew how to handle the summonings eyes.
Look at the bottom of the picture. Itachi blocked it's vision with Kunai's.

So that means Itachi somewhat knew about the Rinnegan's abilites.
So nagato using his summonings is useless.

I have really come to think of it !in any battle against nagato only few ninjas could win in a one on one match am ex-including itachi he will definitely not stand a chance in a one-one match .

Thats because some Sharingans posses the best abilites.
Shisui's- Kotoamatsukami
Itachi's- Tsukiyomi (Not sauske's though)
Madara's- time/space techniques/Izanagi
Kakashi's- Kamui
Itachi/Sasukes- Amaterasu
Itachi's-Susano'o (Yata mirror/Totsuku Blade) (Not sasukes since he dont have Yata and Totsuku) -_-
Plus Sharingans gives the user the ability to cast Genjutsu too!
And it gives the ability to counter Genjutsu or see through a Genjutsu!
And it helps predict enemy movements!
And it can see chakra.
Seriously these peoples Sharingan is what makes the Sharingan dangerous to battle. (Not every Uchiha have these certain powers)
Kishi's favorite Doujutsu HAS to be the Sharingan lol.

He's beaten really great shinobi when he was terminally ill mind you. Kakashi, Kurenai, Sasuke, Deidara, Orochimaru.

poor itachi LOL, itachi is overrated because nagato fan cant accept the fact that their favorite char got pawned in 1 pages, u know what i mean they finally got to see nagato after konoha invasion arc and yet he got pawned in 1 pages LOL, i know nagato is strong no one can defeat nagato with his sixpath without knowing his secret.

TBH, every strong ninja is overrated.
Anyway if its six path vs itachi, pein will win.
If its nagato vs itachi, itachi will win.
Im not going to go into detail, but simply nagato although has all the abilities in the world, he doesnt have much experience fighting as nagato, instead using dead bodies and because of this, he hasnt trained his body enough to equal itachi
