Anbu vs samurai

Both are placed in the manga to pretty much get murdered in order to show us how strong a new or main character is. And neither have ever done anything useful, except for their big-name members.
So who is more fodder?
Average anbu or the average samurai?

Samurai are definitely weaker than ANBU.

Can anyone give reason's why anbu are stronger? Samurai can use the raikiri sword better than sasuke can, they also have the masks that make them immune to poison. Didn't think it would be this one sided.

In the OP I said excluding the big-name members. part 1 kabuto murdered about 5 anbu without a problem, and I highly doubt he could do that if they were any where near as strong as those three.

Anbu can wreck them from long distance, mid distance, and would be hard pressed close distance.

The Samurai's only chance to is fight weapon vs. weapon

I'm not including them. My point is they all came from ANBU. At some point in their life they were ANBU members. Which means there are high caliber shinobi in ANBU.

Yeah there are, but I said "average anbu vs average samurai". I mean with the samurai we have guys like mifune who apparently can beat the guy who put the three sannin combined to shame.
