Shanks should be waiting near the end, or when he is dying or some other dramatic scene when Luffy gives him his hat back. It would be so anti climatic if Shanks was just waiting there after the first island after the timeskip.

I do think we will get some shichibukai/supernova update.

i thought about that scenario..but then that in itself could make it interesting...shanks acknowledging luffy's growth n giving the hat to him for good, b'cuz the last time the two met shanks said to him his not even good enough to be part of his crew...also the first part kicked of with shanks, to follow the similarities shanks showing up isnt all far-fetched
..plus i felt kinda bad when shanks came to the war seeing luffy the way he was, it would be nice for luffy to meet his idol to kick start the 2nd half of his journey

i was really torn between luffy meeting one of the shichibukai or meeting a supernova, jus because they released da supernovas new pic n because i think luffy's rivals would wanna c how strong luffy's become... personally i would wanna c who da new shichibukai r n how strong they r. i seriously doubt that shanks would meet luffy on the other side... like da cook said, that would pretty much kill one of the most important plot lines n the manga. luffy would have to give up his hat n then what would people call him n his crew??? that hat holds so much significance for him n his crew n his pirate identity as a whole i doubt dat oda would take dat away from him just as he enters the "New World"....

I want them to meet some of the supernovas
I think there's much of the supernovas still in the shadows... Bonney and X-Drake specially. I'm certain there's a background for X-Drake searching for Kaido, we know Kaido used to fight and sink ships llike crazy (look at Moria's crew...) so it wouldn't be any wonder if he killed XDrake's old crew or something along those lines...
I also want to know what the hell happened to Bonney! From her look at the post timeskip picture of the Supernovas, she looked like she had escaped and was hiding... there's something between her and the World Government, her conversation with Akainu made it way too obvious!
So, I really think they'll see a Supernova, particularly Bonney and X-Drake. I would like to see if Law made it to the new world too, though

Well I will follow in the line of my Bonney-prediction, so I say Supernova. Then again I also predicted that they would face the marines the instant they resurface again, though that doesn't mean there's going to be an admiral.
