[Theory] Tobi from Tobirama?

i like some parts of your theory. the idea that tobi isnt exactly madara, but has his character due to some experiment is quite new and fits to what we have seen from him till now. it would also explain why the first thought that he was dead and why he didnt use the ems so far.

about edo tensei idk, it could be possible, but doesnt seem very plausible. even while the edo-tensei-guys can in some way resist the will of the user if he doesnt concentrate on them, i doubt that edo would completely wore off. it doesnt even have to, since madara seems to be more or less immortal. however, what we have seen so far doesnt look like an edo-tensei body, and madara seemed to not know the jutsu.

The Edo Tensei's control comes from a tag that is put on by Kabuto. At this time, I don't think Tobirama would have developed that method yet, this is the most primitive stage of Edo Tensei. Madara seemed interested in how Kabuto's version of the Edo Tensei and asked how it was used so wouldn't it make sense that he would be interested in an advanced version of what he came from?

in the bold underline part; was that a typo or something? anyways, why would he try to make himself act like madara when you said he has both the cells of hashirama and madara in one. and tobi acted like that because he was under cover. why would he act like himself? that's not a very good way of makeing sure someone doesn't find out who you are.

He would act like Madara because of his cells. If Hashirama's cells had that much effect on a person, why can't Madara's?

i don't know, i just think that if you put two people with about equal strength in why would madara's be more influential to the edo tensei?

Edo Tensei brings back the soul (Spirit Energy) which was what Madara would have specialized in because of his natural yang (or yin, I don't remember xd the one with energy as a primary source.). Due to the soul bringing bought back, Madara would have a much higher amount of influence then Hashirama, who had a strong bodily chakra.

Edo tensai's don't age and without that seal that was invented by orochimaru he'd look like a zombie not an old man. He may not be madara (but I think he is) but he is some guy prolonging/extending his life through harashima's cells.

if that's what you mean, then it's impossible as Hashirama was later summoned by Orochimaru

and if your answer is no, it's not possible to link someone's cells to the edo tensei...at least I think so...if you can't damage them, you can't make them stronger either

Tobi had no idea how Edo Tensei worked or how to beat it when he was asking Kabuto about it. I doubt he's anyone related to the 2nd Hokage. I also doubt he's Madara based on that conversation alone.
