He didn't get up and walk away, he used a tentacle from the 8-tailed beast [Octopus's regrow there tentacles] as a Kawarmi [Substitution jutsu]

It seemed like they had already started the ritual without Pein, they got tired of waiting I suppose.
I guess they were consternating pretty hard on it, remember, in order to do it, they need to be still and focused for a VERY long time [A few days now, back when they had all 10 members, it was only 10 hours I believe]
A Kawarami only takes an instant to work, and neither Kisame nor Madara was close enough to stop him.
The only thing I wonder is why didn't Madara go after him?
Couldn't he like scan the area for signs of chakra with his sharingan?
I mean, there in the middle of nowhere, how hard could he be to find?

Wow that was better than I thought. i guess the thing about th 8tails attacking konoha in the interview is reall..since he isn't getting extracted
OF COURSE they did'nt go after them, I mean Sasuke's Amaterasu FAILED, those mere mortals stand no chance if the great Sasuke failed!

Anyways, are we so sure he is'nt back where they originally fought, sure looks like the area, they might have took back a replacement, if you remember right, a tentacle fell off during the Amaterasu attack.....they mighta took a replacement the 8 tails made instead, while he hid himself as a tentacle *shrug*
