It's possible that a lot of Amagekure could be a Genjutsu, I mean, the place seems loads more advanced than any other village, could it be the work of some Genjutsu?
All's we know is that he is a MASTER of Genjutsu.
He can put massive amounts of people under these Genjutsu's forever, apparently.
As of right now, Pein is still to mysterious to call heads or tails on anything.
I think we might get a better look at everything if Kakashi's sharingan takes a look at him..

Yes, pain IS A MASTER OF GENJUTSU, and naruto SUCKS at genjutsu.

No matter how strong naruto becomes, if hes in a genjutsu, his sage powered rasengshuriken means NOTHING

we all know itachi was also a MASTER OF GENJUTSU.

Itachi didnt give him something to avoid sharingan, he simply made him lots better at avoiding and fighting back genjutsu.


I DONT THINK ITACHI PLAYED OUT HIS LOSS IN TSUKYOMI!

It stated that sasuke beat his tsukyomi, and while itachi was still playing around, i do believe his tsukyomi was actually beaten, the reason being that he gave much of his genjutsu skills to naruto for defense against strong genjutsus.

Nothing to do with sharingan, just defences against genjutsu.


Thats narutos one weakness-genjutsu, he is all about physical power, therefore his fight with pein is going to end up exactly like jiraiyas unless he can master genjutsu defences.

There is a chance a lot of jiraiyas battle was genjutsu.

Maybe pein puts in fight scenarios, and when genjutsu pein attacks, the real pein attacks, making it seem like its not genjutsu.

Like, when naruto was taken under by itachis genjutsu, he was still moving around but the environment looked different, etc.

Pein could be near them, but his genjutsu is so powerful you can only see the 6 there.

But yes, that seems pretty likely, if you ask me..
Pein no doubt uses Genjutsu to attack and confuse his foes, how he does this or why [Why not just attack physically?] is still quite the mystery to me.
Pein's Genjutsu's are extremely sophisticated, in fact, there the most sophisticated out of any Genjutsu we've seen thus far.
At this point, I wouldn't rule out anything, everything could be a possibility at this point.

Tbh i think pein is the most mysterious character i mean from my point of view, i didn't really see him do alot fighting against j-man, the fight between them was more about jiraiya finding out who he is, and what he can do, we will see hes full power soon i hope.
