Just a little something I did with this other thing I did. =/
When we were little, we feared going to sleep
Because we thought monsters would come out and creep
We feared these creatures would probably eat and kill us
But these thoughts started to leave as we got older and knew the real us
As we grew older, the supposed monsters under the bed
Turned into these even small thoughts in our head
We got older and learned the cruelty of the world
Wishing it was as simple as when you a small boy or girl
That monster in the closet was never really there
It lived in a place that was much closer to home
And as it's host aged, it came out it's dormant slumber
And started to make it's newly free roam
That's why we started to realize the truth
And those monsters started to cry with us
And We stopped checking under the bed for monsters
when we realized they were inside of us.
