To clear this all up, he won't get them. The only reason Itachi had them is because he had self sacrifice and one other thing I don't remember. That's the only way to get the two items. That's why Zetsu was like "Orochimaru could never find them," you can't just get them, they're spiritual and are given to ones who aren't evil and who do good things like Itachi did (self sacrifice and such.) Just like the 6 tomoe necklace on Naruto's neck. The only way you can get that is without killing anyone ever in your life, benevolence is also the only way to get it. Those are the three BEST treasures in the Narutoverse, those 8 treasures the Kin Gin bro's had were minor treasures. These are the 3 major treasures. Just clearing this up again, for people who don't know. The Yata Mirror makes you completely invincible to any attack and the Totsuka Sword can seal anything it touches. That's why Madara feared Itachi, because the only way to kill an immortal is to seal him or to obliterate him with a strong attack. If you read the manga he was like "Itachi, you had these all along." That's basically saying he was looking for them. Also, Naruto is based on Japanese Mythology, just go read up on Susano'o and Amaterasu and all that and you'll figure it out.

So is Susanoo in general. There's nothing remotely "ninja" about the overpowered ability and it degrades the manga.
