You say Minato was sealed by the death reaper, and yet Orochimaru did summon him against the 3rd Hokage. But I think it has been mentioned that a soul which has been sealed cannot be summoned. (Or at least he tried, but the 3rd hokage prevented it)

Yea Oro failed to summon cos Minato's soul was already sealed, the 3rd had nothing to do with the failed summon.

Wat about kabuto summons an entirely new shinobi someone who's been thought long dead but only madara knows about him.Maybe like madara's sensei...i know it can be way off target but i'm just tired with all the izuna or the real madara theories.U know it's possible since there has to be someone to pass down the ninjutsu from the son's of the rikoudou sennin to the uchiha and senju clans.Anyways hope they show "him" next chap.Anxiously waiting...

Oh thanks, I was confused because in the anime the 3rd Hokage stopped the summoning by blocking the coffin with shuriken. Guess it was different in the manga.

Oh yeah, what if Kabuto got his hands on Kushina's DNA (This could be possible) and would a major psychological impact on Naruto. Though she's not in the mystery coffin cuz Kabuto talked about a 'him'. But still Kabuto getting his hands on Kushina's DNA would be a great tactic (Jinchuuriki and all)

No in the manga it was slightly similar, with the 3rd thinking he had stopped the 3rd coffin being summoned completely aswell, so similar with the anime ^.^
