It is Itach's fault for anything Sasuke does basically cause like you said he knew that there was a high chance that things would not go the way he wanted to. (OFF SUBJECT):Madara said that Itachi had a lover that he also ended up killing along with his best friend, his parents, and every other uchiha not Sasuke. Slip past his fingers??? He let him ago. He didn't escape. He let him walk right passed him. Let's not try to downgrade his downfalls while overpraising his achievements which btw it's the job of the Hokage to defend the village anyways. You don't give a janitor a bonus for mopping your floor lets not give all the Hokage the same praise that they all sacrifice for their village. That basically comes with the job

i voted the fifth. tho your thread is a bit needing re-alignment.
you would reconsider retracting your vote for these reasons:
1. minato was taught by jiraiya who was a student of the third.
2. he hid Naruto's identity because we know the reasons why, if you dont, then reread the manga from the first chap.
3. when did the frog you referred to met the third?...pls show me the chap
4. the 3rd is the 5th's sensei. to be coherent, the student will be worse than the worst hokage right?
5. we have'nt known the third fullest as well. but he was the better student among a group of three that the second hokage taught. he even sacrificed himself as a volunteer when needed - just that the second hokage did the sacrifice for them.
the third practically harbored the idea to treasure Naruto and sasuke. Naruto as a jinchuuriki, and sasuke as an uchiha.
the massacre of the uchiha clan was not the third's doing. nobody could have prevented that. the elders are to blame, not the third.
it was plot that the third could have never permitted.

Itachi could have avoided that, by killing him, Orochimaru, Jiraiya and Tsunade could have prevented Konoha's destruction, by killing the Orphans.
There is allways some event that can prevent bad things from happening, but in some cases, people will judge others based on that event and will blame them and burn them like witches.
I wont argue anymore, and I hope Itachi fans wont see your comment or it will happen a shit storm.

i think the 1st :shrug:because he gave out all the tailed beast to other villages I know he was try to create peace at least he left Konoha with the strongest
Itachi is one of my favorite characters, but he did fail in not killing sasuke when he had the chance. Danzo even said as much. Saying his one and only failure was not killing sasuke, and i really can't disagree considering itachi must've known sasuke could turn out this way and yet he still decided to let him live. No shinobi is perfect and every one makes mistakes, that's just the way it is. I know i wouldn't be able to kill my brother either even if it was for the greater good.

he was trying to make the power equal because if he didnt then all other villages would team up vs konoha idk what he possibly could have done other than hand them away :shrug:

I would choose the 2nd Hokage. He is pretty much unknown for anything good in fact he created one of the most evil ninjutsu around edo tensei. Other than him the other hokages all reasonably sacrifice for the village hidden in the leaves he died pathetically if you ask me, the only good thing he did was to pick the right person to be the 3rd.

The 4th was the worse, tho that doesn't say much and he didn't accomplished shyt (all the hokages have saved tHe village)
Come on people why would he put the fourth in there the fourth is the best kage of all the kages we have seem so far and you all know it some of you guys are just trolling, OK I agree with you even though I liked the 3rd I think he was a great guy, and for the ones who said that the fourth is the worst I dont know if you guys are just joking or are for real, but Minato is the best kage so far he scarified himself along with his wife to save the village and the life of his son, so stop being idiots.
He scarified himself and his wife to save the village and the life of his son if he didn't do that who else would have done it? if he didn't do that everyone in the village would have died and the village would have been destroyed.
