3rd Hokage is the strongest hokage?

In his prime, Hiruzen could have went toe to toe, and probably won against any ninja in Naruto's history. In terms of vs Minato and his FTG, I dunno. Hiruzen had the intelligence of Kakashi, the chakra of Naruto, the fighting ability of Raikage and lets not forget his summon Emna.

Iruka stated him to be the strongest Hokage in the village's history(in his prime), and that's including Minato.

Intelligence of Kakashi ... YES I would say better but hes not the only one
Chakra of Naruto ... NO way in hell, Naruto is an Uzumaki
Fighting ability ... hes not as fast and hes not as strong the only thing he could be better than the Raikage is the jutsus

all in all hes really strong but not the best, heres some htat would beat him:

Madara, Minato, Nagato and Itachi

Sarutobi has gotten praised by 1 shinobi so far in the naruto manga. Minato and Hashirama have been praised by many including Jiraiya, the 4th Raikage, and Madara who have a lot more credibility than Iruka. We've never seen Hiruzen in his prime so it's impossible to say how strong he was back than.

Hiruzen has only been praised by 1 shinobi? Just off the top of my head, he's been praised by Iruka, Asuma, Kakashi, Naruto, Kurenai, Gai, Jiraiya, Itachi and the list goes on and on and on.

You named jonin chunin and genin. Minato was praised by those and other kage from other villages. And the 3rd. A former kage. 1 person has called him the god of shinobi. Minato wouldn't own hiruzen but he would beat him.

If you want to go off of feats, Hiruzen easily has Minato beat..all we've seen Minato do, really, is seal the Kyuubi, which while sure, it was honorable and all, Hiruzen could have done the same thing. Yeah he fought Madara for short period of time, however, Hiruzen fought the man who defeated Madara and the 2nd hokage along with him. And again, this is 68 year old Hiruzen.

Emna called that Hiruzen pathetic..that should say enough, IMO.

I also named the greatest of the 3 Legendary Sanin and arguably the strongest member of Akatsuki. Plus Kakashi carries a reputation that stretches across every village in the manga, not to mention he's been nominated for Hokage numerous times. There is no reputation war between Minato and Hiruzen..both are equally respected as 2 of the greatest ninjas ever.

Hiruzen could never defeat madara. And minato basically defeated him had madara not fled he would have been killed because minato hand the advantage. Your sitting here arguing with me but the person your defending said minato was better lol. You want hiruzen to be stronger but he's not.

And if you want to go off feats minato wins easily. You say hiruzen wins but your wrong. Minato has the best resume ever besides the sage and hishirama. Minato fought madara and the nine tails by his self. And he won. Not only that but he came up with a plan for 16 years ahead within minutes. It doesn't get better than that. I have yet to hear a kage praise hiruzen but all we hear are kage still praising minato.

Here's a conclusion I came up with for myself about all the hokage

Minato=Hiruzen=Tobirama=Hashirama...First two we've seen nothing but their skills were obviously great. Hiruzen (never seen in prime), Minato faced off against both A and B, faced Tobi with relitive ease and injured him, and fought/sealed Kyuubi in one day...

Now with nothing much on anybody else I place them all on the same plain as each other.

We truly don't know that. We don't know how good Hiruzen was in his prime. But with Emna saying the Hiruzen that fought vs Orochimaru was "pathetic", that's saying something, in my opinion. I know Hiruzen said Minato was better than him. Hiruzen is just that type of person, very humble. Just like Kakashi never goes around boasting about his skill, or an even better example, given the relation, is Asuma. He never said a thing about himself, but we learned he was more than capable of fighting on a very high level.

I don't want Hiruzen to be stronger. I don't even consider him stronger. I consider them equals.

Hiruzen defeated a guy who defeated both the Madara and Kyuubi as well..and that guy had help from another hokage. I'm not doubting Minato, but the level of doubt about Hiruzen is ridiculous. He fought 2 hokages and a Sanin at the age of 69 and nearly pulled off killing all 3.

I can only hope Kishi gives us a flashback to let us see Hiruzen fighting in his prime. It would be awesome to see how good he truly was in his prime, given he has all this hype.

Hiruzen couldn't of done the same thing. He would never of been able to defeat Madara because he would never be able to touch him. Also like i said earlier when Sarutobi has ninja from around the world praising him like Hashirama and Minato do than come talk to me. I'm not doubting Sarutobi at all because i think he's incredibly strong and i mean you have to be to earn the nickname god of shinobi.

To me has always been: Hashirama > Hiruzen > Minato > Tobirama > Tsunade.

i would say minato is the best hiruzen comes slightly after wars shortly followed by hahsirama and tobirama. Kishi better show hiruzen prime he hasn't shown any major feats from him but he is called stuff like god of shinobi and stuff cos its pretty hard for me to imagine that he is better than hashirama who beat madara but kishi clearly stated that 3rd and 4th are the strongesst. IDk if that is only me

When did I say Minato couldn't beat him? I just said I wasn't sure how the fight would go with Minato's FTG, cause we don't know if Hiruzen had anything that could counter it or not, or if he had a plan to avoid it, etc, lol.
