Naruto vs Pain

I was just watching the Naruto v Pain fight again, and I noticed that when it is just Deva Path v Naruto, Deva path takes all kind of damage. Like, he gets hammered into the ground and gets his head stuck in a rock wall, only to have rocks fall down on his body, eventually enough so that it frees him from his stuck position and buries him under rumble.
Note, that none of this killed him.
Then at the very end of the fight, Naruto gets him with 1 regular Rasengan and the fight is over.
Am I the only one who thinks this is weird?

i guess it took all the damaged it could take, or nagato just ran out of chakra.

I believe that because they're already dead, and they're just being controled by chakra recievers, the only one's Naruto should've actually killed were the one he turned into stone, and Deva (cause he took out Deva's recievers). The other's he just killed by normal means (how you would kill a human), and that shouldn't kill them, should it?

Pain was a dead corpse to begin with. After striking Pain with Rasengan Naruto quickly removed the chakra recievers that allowed Pain to move.

wow i have to watch that fight again i didnt know naruto did that. naruto is pretty clever.

he also came down with that SUPER EPIC drop-from-the-sky punch and killed the machine one. xd that was probably the best part of the whole fight!!

It's because that entire segment was a pathetic joke to that entire fight. I don't know what the animators were thinking but for me personally it ruined the fight to throw that in there
