Even with his mass improvements, including since that chapter(given we're on chapter 552 now, and that's 257), Kakashi would be able to put up a fight, but Itachi would still win, and convincingly.
I should most likely ignore these kind of threads because they are repetitive and only made by fan's who think a certain character is "godly" but hey here is my argument.
If Kakashi didn't have to worry about protecting others, and could fully focus on the fight itself and go all out. Yes Kakashi could easily take on Itachi and or even beat him.
Now for the in coming posts that will basically say "Bull shit" or "Could Never Happen"
It could easily happen. Reason being only time we actually see Kakashi taking someone on there are other's involved in the fight and he want's to make sure they get out safely. Even at the risk of his own life.
Pain even stated that he had to kill Kakashi because he feared that Kakashi would someday get in the way of Akatsuki's plans if he was allowed to live.
Also with the fighting style he has he would be able to get the upper hand eventually on him simply because Kakashi's fighting style revolves around using clones to learn about his opponent but as far as Itachi is concerned he knows everything about Itachi, as Itachi knows most about Kakashi as well. The fight indeed would be epic and drawn out but like I said if Kakashi didn't have to worry about protecting someone else throughout the fight he could quite possibly beat Itachi

hey its your opinion im not gonna say anything even if i think kakash would still lose i mean he is good but if there were a level higher than jonin or even anbu wtf am i sayin kakashi is kage level i know kakashi is too but itachis at an even higher level

Even Kakashi admits he wouldn't be able to take on Itachi 1on1. Proved by that page from the chapter I posted above.
However, Kakashi's stamina would not allow him to keep going with Itachi. Even when using the sharingan to incredible levels, Itachi can keep going for quite a while. One mangekyo(which, at some point in the battle, I imagine he'd have to use) and Kakashi is slowed down a good bit.
And of course Kakashi was considered a threat to Akatsuki. He was Konoha's 2nd greatest ninja behind Naruto in terms of ability, and Kakashi could probably take on all Akatsuki members 1on1, and win, short of Madara/Pain/Itachi. Not to mention, a huge reason why Pain said what he did was due to Kakashi's intelligence. While yes, his fighting ability would prove very troublesome, his intelligence is what could have came back and bit Akatsuki in the ass.

No there's no way. Even if people sent his mind to it. People want to talk about Sasuke fanboys there are alot more Kakashi fanboys. People just underestimate Sasuke and overestimate Kakashi. Kakashi would have died if Sasuke didn't go bllind after the Danzo fight. So stop overestimating Kakashi he's not the strongest. There are SO MANY STRONGER people.
