Yeah, that's how I got mine anyway.
I recieved one because I forgot my sig was too big. It wasn't a big thing I just had to re-size it but I didn't feel like it so I just deleted it, I'll find another sig later. I didn't get any major punishment it was more like a reminder.

Here's the thing with double/multi posting.
If you double post like once or twice, every once in a while, if it's not a consecutive thing like very time you post on a thread you double post and people notice then you're alright.
I double post some times on accident and it's not a big deal, nobody says anything because I don't do it so much.
Multi posting though (basically the same thing but you know three or more posts in a row) is a bigger deal. If you post, 4, 5 posts back to back then you could get a warning about it, if it continues then you'll get some harsher punishment and eventually a ban if you continue after several blatent warnings, because that'll show you have no respect for the authority here.
However from what I've seen you don't have to worry about any infractions or anything like that, really that rule (it seems to me anyway) is so people don't try to redily increase their post count, or so they don't annoy people.
If you double post on a thread once or twice it's not really a big thing (from what I've noticed) but people who double post repidiently and people know them to do that (mainly new guys) would probably get infracted, as well as if you multi-post.
