Nagato has multiple paths in his body therefore disturbing his chakra if he ever got into genjustu.I said visual genjutsu from the sharringan as well not genjutsu
Even so I stick by my statement, lets just agree to disagree and get out of each others hair, I tire of these discussions, I just gave out my opinion, and seriously you need to stop with the fanboy comments, that shouldn't even be discussed seeing as we're on a NARUTO FORUM, in a way we are all fanboys, but keep discussions civil, and keep all disparaging remarks to yourself please, thank you

without the sharingan itachi only has intellect speed and fire and water. everything else is gone. why do you think his sharingan is always activated. yes he is a master of the sharingan and mastered it when he was 8?(i think) but that just goes to show that he's been relying on it since he was 8 lol

Ok so two elements, mastery of genjutsu, insane speed, genius, and ability in the 3 main jutsu types aren't enough? That is more than most characters have. Even without the sharingan Itachi would be super strong, nowhere near his current strength true but you use what you have.
Even without the sharingan I think he could still take out most of the people he fought against. He still is a genjutsu master, and most people have a weakness to genjutsu of that caliber.

1st, there is visual genjutsu. proof of that? well lets see, when itachi points a finger and the person looks at his nail, its on a genjutsu (read manga if you don't think so). every time someone looks at his eyes, is on a genjutsu too, thats why it's called visual genjutsu, the person it's affected and put under genjutsu by something that it's seen.
2nd, manga says no where that Nagato weakness is genjutsu. He fell under genjutsu, but that's because 2 of the pains were busy (by Jiraiya Katon technique and one of them was blind), so they were distracteed and were caught on genjutsu. only because someone gets rapped by something that doesn't mean it is weak to that thing.
example: Itachi got Kakashi under genjutsu, but do you think that Kurenai, or Sasuke, could put Kakashi under genjutsu?
Back to the topic ... every ninja that uses ONLY abilities from his clan his reliant.
Nara, Aburame, Yamanaka, Akimichi, Byakugan.
I dont think Sharingan and Rinnegan aplies to that, because Nagato learnt to control 5 elements and ninjutsu ... (altought Rinnegan gave him affinity over 5 elements, it didn't actually make him master it, his efforts did so).
Uchihas make use of elements too, taijutsu and ninjutsu, and some of them without depending only on their Sharingan's.
