I didn't come down at you; I was far above you in a mid-range position. You used a short-range attack. After I shot the attack down at you from a mid-range, I flash stepped below you, and kicked you up into it.
You didn't avoid my attack, and you didn't avoid my kick up into my attack, ergo, you blocked nothing, and pulled what I like to call "a shodaime".

*because my zanpakuto is already pointed in the direction that yours in coming in at, it's easy to parry*
*as you stab your sword at me, I move my zanpakuto down, stabbing your zanpakuto into the ground*
*then, I kick you in the face away from your zanpakuto, and take both of them up in my hands*
