Amaterasu appears and doesn't travel, jiraiya won't see anything coming at him. Itachi escaped jiraiya's toad stomach or jiraiya's so called inescapeable jutsu with amaterasu, if amaterasu can break through it then kirin will shatter it. What the hell am i saying... Amaterasu or kirin is too fast for him to evade get it into your skull

After knowing truth about Itachi I dont see how all of that has any value. If you really believe that Jiraiya could take on Itachi, Kisame and lets say Sasori and Deidara at once, then you are just silly. Itachi alone is definietly more powerful than Jiraiya (or any of the sannin for that matter), let alone with one or three (!) kage level shinobis as support. Only sannin that has counter for Amaterasu is Orochimaru (his kawarimi), thats all.

Of course he lied. He was loyal to Konoha to the end, so he wanted to avoid confrontation as much as possible, and that was good excuse for Kisame. Jiraiya taking on two Akatsuki squads is rubbish, becuase lets be honest: if he fought with Itachi, Kisame, Sasori and Deidara at once he would be dead after one minute. Like I said, Itachi alone proved to have superior skills to Jiraiya.

Becuase Itachi was looking at it. Amaterasu burns relatively slowly only when its left by itself, but if Amaterasu user is focusing his eyesight on targed its engulfed in short seconds, like Madara, Hachibi, Danzo and Pain summons in recent chapters. Tsunade wouldnt have time to relese her seal and use Creation Rebirth, and even if she managed somehow, she would be still burning, so in reality, that technique is no counter for Amaterasu. The only sannin that has counter for it is Orochimaru, and thats it.

If you know that Itachi wanted to protect Konoha, then why do you its absurd to say that he was lying? As Konoha shinobi in hearth (and pacifist on top of that) he didnt want to fight Jiraiya, so its only logical that he had to come up with an excuse for Kisame.
He might adimiring him, but that doesnt mean Jiraiya was stronger than him. Minato was also admiring Jiraiya,but he was stronger than his teacher.
It would burnt through that armour in short seconds if Sasuke was looking at him.
Creation Rebirth is jutsu that takes a lot of chakra. Even single use shortens lifespam.
